What your Journey Price Includes: Prices include State Cabin accommodation with private shower and toilet, table d'hte meals daily, all alcoholic and other beverages, entertainment, all sightseeing excursions as shown in the itineraries and all applicable taxes. Prices do not include insurance, gratuities for Crew members and souvenirs. Travel Insurance: We recommend our guests to arrange suitable insurance to cover personal belongings, as well as cancellation/ interruption, medical and luggage. Passports and Visas: If you are not a citizen of the UK, you must be in possession of a valid passport which will remain valid beyond the duration of your journey. Depending upon which country issues your passport, you may need a visa for entry into the UK. You should check with your travel agent or government agency before travelling to the UK. Children and Pets: For safety reasons, children under 12 years and pets are not permitted on the train. Wheelchair Access: Wheelchair users or those with restricted mobility are asked to contact us directly to discuss the suitability of a journey aboard The Royal Scotsman. You will be met by our Host and members of crew who will transfer your luggage to the train.

Special Diets and Allergies: Special diets can be accommodated with our Chef. Please be sure to tell us in advance of any allergies, food related or not, so that we can do our best to make your journey with us as enjoyable as possible. Health: Please do advise The Royal Scotsman office or your travel agent of any health restriction before travelling on The Royal Scotsman. No specific vaccinations are required for entry into the UK. It is, however, recommended that you consult your doctor or physician for requirements based on your travel itinerary, or for any personal health recommendations relating to your journey. Please note that there are no professional medical facilities on board The Royal Scotsman. Smoking Policy: In accordance with Scottish Law, smoking is not permitted onboard the train at any time. Check-In Procedure: The Royal Scotsman departs from Edinburgh Waverley Station. Check-in formalities are conducted at least 40 minutes prior to departure. What to Wear: For daytime excursions and relaxing on board the train, we recommend casual, comfortable clothing. In the evening we recommend a jacket and tie for informal dinners and black tie/tuxedo or kilt for formal dinners.

Luggage and Storage On Board: Cabins on board The Royal Scotsman have limited space. We recommend that each guest travels with one suitcase and one carry-on bag. Twin State Cabins have luggage storage space under each bed which is 28" wide x 9" high (71cm x 23 cm). If necessary, facilities are available at The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh for storage of extra luggage during your Royal Scotsman journey. However should you be staying at an alternative hotel, please ask the Hotel Manager. Prior to boarding, please attach a Royal Scotsman luggage label/tag to each piece of your luggage. Electricity: There are electrical outlets in all cabins. Electricity in the UK runs on 220/240 volts. You may wish to bring an adaptor for any electrical appliances you would like to use on board. Recommended Hotels: We are pleased to recommend a selection of hotels for your stay before or after your Royal Scotsman experience. Please contact us to make a booking or contact the hotel directly. Transportation after your Journey: On the final night of your journey, our crew will be pleased to reserve taxis/limousines for onwards transfers, eg. to the airport or your hotel. Please speak to the Train Manager.
