3XDRY FINISH
Aim
The feel good technology 3XDRY makes textiles water and stain repellent on the outside and water absorbent on the inside. Clothes finished with 3XDRY keeps the body dry, minimizes perspiration marks and stimulates a cooling effect. Dry on the inside: Moisture caused by perspiration is quickly absorbed, transported away from the body and can evaporate faster. Dry on the outside: Moisture is reliably repelled. Dry in a flash: Textiles with 3XDRY-finishing dry significantly faster than without 3XDRY .

Technology
The 3XDRY-Advanced Moisture Management-finish combines two technologies in one textile: on the outside the textiles is finished with a water repellent function (hydrophobic), whereas inside of the fabric absorbs perspiration (hydrophilic). As a result, it reliably repels moisture from the outside. Moisture resulting from perspiration is quickly absorbed from the inner side of the textile, transported away from the body and distributed over a large surface area. The appearance, hand or the air permeability features are not influenced by the 3XDRY finish. The wash permanence of 3XDRY is 50 washing cycles. No fabric softener should be used during the wash.

Company
3XDRY finishing is patented by Schoeller Technologies AG. In 2005, Schoeller Technologies AG (patent holder and subsidiary of Schoeller Textile AG) and Huntsman Textile Effects established a distribution partnership for 3XDRY

technology. Huntsman is responsible for the customer-oriented and quality-conscious tapping of new markets in the technical field (finishing companies) and Schoeller Technologies AG for the marketing, branding, and patent area.

Applications
Companies like Hugo Boss, K2 Korea, Mammut, Mellos, Merkley, The North Face, Phenix, Ready About Gear, Rei, Salomon, Schffel, Sprayway, Vaude, and Wintergreen use the 3X Dry finish in their products. BOSS Green, a mens golf and sportswear label from Hugo Boss, incorporated Schoellers 3XDRY finishing technology in its spring/summer 2010 trouser collection. The North Face uses 3X Dry finishing technology in its jackets.
Mammut used 3X Dry technology in dry skin-extreme fabric used mountaineering Champ Pants and New Age Jacket.

3X Dry can be used in bed lines and pillow cases. The hydrophilic performance is used for bed linens to transport body humidity away from the body, such as into the pillowcase where it is spread and can dry. Due to the hydrophobic performance on the inside of the pillowcase, sweat cannot penetrate to the pillow. The result, is a calmer, better nights sleep for those who tend to sweat.

SOLAR+
Aim
The solar + textile technology keeps the wearer pleasantly warm even at low temperatures. As textiles finished with solar+ intensively absorb the rays of the sun, no matter what their colour, the clothes are tangibly warmed.

Technology
The principle is a simple one and is inspired by nature. It is based on the suns heat rays. On sunny days, reptiles, for example, come out of their hiding places and crawl onto rocks to soak up the sun. Their skin absorbs the heat rays, stimulating their metabolism and making them more active. Increased heat absorption of solar+ functions in a similar way. Textiles equipped with solar+ intensively absorb the heat rays. Even thin fabrics can keep the wearer pleasantly warm.

Solar+ complies with the bluesign standard, the worlds most stringent standard in textile production which guarantees the greatest possible freedom from harmful substances and the greatest resource efficiency.

Applications
For the first time, at the Winter ISPO 2013, Lasse Kjus is presenting Ice star ski jackets in a Schoeller functional fabric with solar+. Pioneering work has also been done by Amundsen Sports in its South Pole Expedition, exposing the technology to the true forces of nature. Schoeller Textile is presenting the new solar+ technology (patent pending) on various fabrics. All solar+ textiles are breathable and wash resistant and solar+ can be particularly successfully applied to light-coloured textiles.
