The major task of WJGE is to report rapidly the most recent results in basic and clinical research on gastrointestinal endoscopy including: gastroscopy, intestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, laparoscopy, interventional diagnosis and therapy, as well as advances in technology. Emphasis is placed on the clinical practice of treating gastrointestinal diseases with or under endoscopy.
