Privacy Preserving

Abstract : Suppose Alice owns a k-anonymous database and needs to determine whether her database, when inserted with a tuple owned by Bob, is still k-anonymous. Also, suppose that access to the database is strictly controlled, because for example data are used for certain experiments that need to be maintained confidential. Clearly, allowing Alice to directly read the contents of the tuple breaks the privacy of Bob (e.g., a patients medical record); on the other hand, the confidentiality of the database managed by Aliceis violated once Bob has access to the contents of the database. Thus, the problem is to check whether the database inserted with the tuple is still k-anonymous, without letting Alice and Bob know the contents of the tuple and the database respectively. In this paper, we propose two protocols solving this problem on suppression-based and generalization-based k-anonymous and confidential databases. The protocols relyon well-known cryptographic assumptions and we provide theoretical analyses to proof their soundness and experimental results to illustrate their efficiency.

Improving Data Quality with Dynamic Forms

Abstract : Data quality is a critical problem in modern databases. Data entry forms present the first and arguably best opportunity for detecting and mitigating errors, but there has been little research into automatic methods for improving data quality at entry time. In this paper, we propose USHER, an endto-end system for form design, entry, and data quality assurance. Using previous form submissions, USHER learns a probabilistic model over the questions of the form. USHER then applies this model at every step of the data entry process to improve data quality. Before entry, it induces a form layout that captures the most important data values of a form instance as quickly as possible. During entry, it dynamically adapts the form to the values being entered, and enables real-time feedback to guide the data enterer toward their intended values. After entry, it re-asks questions that it deems likely to have been entered incorrectly. We evaluate all three components of USHER using two real-world data sets. Our results demonstrate that each component has the potential to improve data quality considerably, at a reduced cost when compared to current practice.

Based on the report defects can be rectified and take required action. This software tool will generate reports individually for each project, which explains about time taken for each task. This tool inputs are based on the inputs given by client to the BDO with a project agreement. New project details are updated by BDO, based on the work required for developing, project manager will request developers from HR department for working under him. Employees work is allocated through this software with data and time of completion of task. After developing is completed software is tested and submitted to client. This software contains five modules, where in each module time and plan is allocated. Client Module : In this module client is provided with log in user name and password and client can check the status of the project by signing in to account. BDO Module : In this module BOD will update project details in to data base along with client requirement for developing project; these details can be viewed by company officials. Developer Module: In this module developer is provided with time sheets for tasks to be completed he will update and view time sheets on daily bases. HR Module : In this module HR will provide resources to project manager based on project type and type of skills required for project development.

Abstract : It is a web based application in which we can add any polls or can vote to any other existing

polls. We can see these types of polls in many of the sites like yahoo, orkut, esnipps, etc. Some may require the users to get registered where some other may just ask to vote depends on the developers choice. The current application can be embedded into any of the sites because it doesnt require any registration so it can be embedded irrespective of the type of site and users. The application is very user friendly because it provides the number of votes and the percentage of votes a particular choice gets. Till today every company has designed poll survey system to their own particular system but this is a poll survey system independent of the sites and any website can make use of it. In the current application the complexity lies in the calculation of percentages and their displaying.

To train and place the students in colleges, TPOs have to collect the information and CVs and manages them manually and arranges them according to various streams. The students need to be list out branch wise, which is more complex task, and inform through notice boards. To overcome the difficulty of student details which were manual in the current system and we generate detailed information about the students which will save our time to inform each batch and section and student profile is maintained. These sensors are used to detect parameters like the vehicles number, speed, etc. and this data is communicated to the nearest control agent that determines the flow model of intersection. Description: The project Traffic flow management using wireless sensor networks consists of four elements. They are the Wireless sensor network (WSN), the intersection control agents (ICA), the actuators which are traffic lights and the environment i.e. vehicles. Every sensory node monitors one lane and this data is sent to the ICA. Once the information is receives, the intersection agent chooses the best policy for vehicle flow. The intersection agents in different areas coordinate to exchange information and decide which flow model has to be implemented. The model of this project is tested using Glomosim simulator. This simulator is software used to simulate wireless and wired network systems.

Abstract : As PCs and LAN have started being used for multiple purposes, the security of this system became an issue of concern. This led to the entry of passwords and smart cards into the market but was later attacked by hackers. As a result the password system has to be replaced by a system which offers a unique identity for users as well as authentication. Such a system is the application of biometrics which has been explained in the project. This paper on Mini Project on Keystroke analysis offers an introduction to biometric security by the method of keystroke analysis. This system makes use of the rawest form of data which stems from the interaction between humans and computers. This method of keystroke analysis uses the manner and rhythm by which the user types the input on the keyboard. Digraph latency is used to record this behavioral pattern and thereby makes it to a top security feature. Description: The project Keystroke analysis employs users identity by the way in which their way of typing in a computer keyboard. The typed key measurements from every keyboard are recorded and this is used to determine dwell time when the key is pressed and flight time which is between key transitions. Cross Database Manipulator Using Common Interface

Abstract : This Cross Database Manipulator Using Common Interface Final Year Engineering c#.Net project is being developed under Visual Studio tool to fulfill the basic needs of a student who wishes to learn basics of databases and also the needs of a non-Database Administration DBA software engineer. Here the data can be stored in the database, to store the data we have used SQL server 2005, this can be used as a substitute for multiple dedicated database explorers saving lot of money and system resources and in Testing Phase we have implemented Oracle database part.
