Judges will ensure the vehicle is classed properly and competitors may ask the Judge for proper classing advice. All vehicles will be classed in each elimination round, with the possibility of being reclassified to a different class, at any time throughout the year . The vehicle cannot be modified at the event, except for replacement of damaged equipment, and only with previous authorization of the competition judge . No competitor or accompanying technician, will be able to give away any items or materials with the purpose of swaying the public vote for tehir vehicle. The music used in each musical style is the responsibility of the competitor. Competitor must choose their music ahead of time and be prepared when called to compete. Competitor must have additional songs for incase of a draw. The competitor and one technical assistant may accompany the vehicle in the competition lane. If the vehicle experiences a breakdown, the competitor or assistant may take care of any breakdown that may occur. It is prohibited that the competitors leave their cars during the time of competition, or to dance or any type of things that calls the public's attention or that causes favoritism (the intention is to solely and specifically promote the audio sytems of the vehicles, not the show of the competitors and companions) and this is applied from the first round to the final round in all the classes without exception. The participant must wear the official shirt and cap of the championship at the time of being judged. If a competitor is not wearing the official shirt and cap, they will not be allowed to compete. If the plate is not easily visible, the competitor will not be allowed to participate. The competitor and their vehicle must be in the competition area at the time of competition, ready to compete when called upon. Any breach of this norm automatically eliminates the competitor to participate in the competition round. If a competitor is not in the lane and ready to compete when called upon, they will not be allowe in the competition area after the gate is closed. All competitors must register online or if stated otherwise by IACSA; there will not be any "day of event" registrations at events, soecifically at the Finals. INSTALLATION JUDGING

ALL competitor vehicles will be subject to installation judging ; if this requirement is not met, the vehicle will not be allowed to compete nor will it be displayed to the public. This evaluation was made considering the following conditions: The judges reviewed each one of the vehicles to determine the categories and to value three important points that they define the participation. Each automobile that wishes to compete in this test must fulfill the following parameters obligatorily: SECURITY OF THE SYSTEM: Ventilation of the Battery, That is APPROPRIATE with ventilation or ducts TO the OUTSIDE OF the VEHICLE TO ALLOW the EXIT OF Appropriate GASES from the vehicle. Installed main fuses and of the suitable value Cables properly protected and secured Interior wires hidden from view Aesthetic (All auto parts properly finished, secured, upholstered and/or painted). Functionality (speakers properly secured, all vehicle openings functioning properly)

COMPETITION PROCEDURE Competitors have one or two 1 minute rounds (or whatever is necessary) to play their music with the doors opened with the aim of pleasing the public and to obtain their approval. Judges will determine how many rounds are necessary to establish that the public is informed and entertained. Competitors MUST be ready to compete when called upon and have their musical selections prepared in advance. In the initial rounds, the presentation can be done either one vehicle at a time or against another vehicle at the discretion of the judges. Nevertheless, once decided, all vehicles in the class will have same method and equal presentation time. Competitors in the same class who have the same installer must notify the judges in advance before the first round begins, to eliminate the chance of two vehicles from the same installer competing against each other. In the Semifinals and final rounds, there will always be at least two vehicles competing against each other. Competitors are responsible for the behavior of their teammates and followers; any bad behavior by any of their teammates or followers can lead to the disqualification of the competitor in question. The competitor's vehicle will should be able to move under its own power. If the vehicle experiences a mechanical breakdown, the judge can approve a maximum 5 minute

breakdown period to repair the vehicle. Incase the vehicle can not be repaired in the required time, the vehicle will be eliminated from the competition. MUSIC SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR SPL OPEN SHOW Judges will determine the starting order of the competitors for each class. Music selection is chosen by spinning the "roulette wheel" ; the music type that it lands on is the music type the competitor must play for that round. The roulette wheel consists of five (5) musical styles: *SALSA *REGGEATON *POPULAR (VALLENATO,DESPECHO,LLANERA,RANCHERAS, ETC.) *FREESTYLE (Competitor Choice) *ELECTRONICA A person, unknown to the competitors, will spin the roulette wheel two times to determine the musical selection for each round. Competitors must play the musical style that was chosen for each individual round in that order. If for any reason the roulette wheel cannot be used, judges will use a "ballot system" and place the musical styles in a box where they will be drawn from. DIVISIONS AND CLASSES FOR SPL OPEN SHOW: Divisions and Classes are determined by the number of speakers and amplifiers in the vehicle. All speakers and amplifiers are counted, whether they are connected or not. Some classes are limited to the amount of amplifier power allowed. NOTE: For the purposes of classifying in OPEN SHOW, a speaker is considered any powered transducer larger than 4" in diameter. For a speaker or amplifier not to count, it must be removed from vehicle.

ANNEX TO THE GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SPL OPEN SHOW: IASCA: Stands for the International Auto Sound Challenge Association, and its objective is to promote the car audio industry around the world. IASCA in all SPL OPEN SHOW Divisions and Classes permits the use of midranges and bullet tweeters, or midranges and horn tweeters, whenever the manufacturer or the brand of the same manufacturer builds, sells, distributes, or has presence in other car audio markets, under the following conditions: 1. It must manufacture as a minimum a line of audio for cars.

2. It must have at minimum a line of automotive full range loudspeakers (coaxials, components)for the car that are designed specifically for car audio applications. for the automobile installation. Manufacturers of audio products that do not meet these criteria are not companies recognized as "part of" the car audio industry and do not promote the growth of the industry by the IASCA objective. Therefore, their products are not allowed in SPL Open Show competition. If necessary, competitors may be required to present product catalogs from the manufacturers as proof that they sell "car audio" products as described above. The installation of any type of speakers in the vehicle (subwoofers, woofers, midranges, coaxials, tweeters, etc.) must be installed safely and not interfere with the safety or proper operation of the vehicle itself. Any acoustic enclosures (subwoofer boxes, etc.) must be properly mounted and secured in the vehicle.

Tweeters larger than four (4) inches will be considered speakers for the purpose of calculation. Competitors are permitted to use "horn" drivers or midrange "diffusers", whether purchased or hand crafted. All components must be installed in the vehicle panels. Competitors are not allowed to install speakers in windows, ceilings, extending "arms" with speakers that protrude from the vehicle or any type of extension with speakers mounted in them. "Linked" amplifiers will be counted as separate amplifiers and their power will be counted for both. The maximum amount of power allowed in this Class is 10,000 watts RMS. This is calculated by adding the power of all three amplifiers together for a total wattage. Example: If a competitor has a 5,000 watt RMS amplifier for their subwoofers, a 4,000 watt RMS amplifier for their midranges and a 1,000 watt RMS amplifier for their tweeters, the sum of the total power is 10,000 watts RMS.
