Updates & Ministry Opportunities continued: Womens Book Club: May 20th

The Pasadena Covenant Womens Book Club will meet Monday, May 20th, 7:30 9:00 p.m. in the Corner House. We will be discussing Nothing to Envy, by Barbara Demick. Newcomers are always welcome. If you have questions, please contact Judy Wipf at jlbw@earthlink.net.

Sarah Circle: May 21st

Tuesday, May 21, Sarah Circle, 9:30 a.m. - noon in Fireside. We welcome all women to join us for service projects, fellowship and refreshments. We have a rolling start so come when you can.

Summer Ministries Planning & Prayer mtg/lunch: June 2nd


Join us Sun., June 2nd, at 12:15 p.m. in the Corner House, to pray for and plan for "The Change Place"-- our 2013 Family Camp (June 24-28) as well as Jump Start! Our back-to-school literary daycamp for Madison kids (Aug. 5-9). Lunch will be served and children are welcome. Please RSVP to Vikki Randall at vrandall@pasadenacovenant.org so we can plan enough food and materials for everyone.

Summer Ministry Donations


Please help us gather supplies for our two big summer outreach ministries-- Family Camp and Jump Start. Donations can be left in the basket in the narthex (lobby) of the church. Here's a partial list of what is needed: For Family Camp (June 24-28): scrap wood pieces in assorted shapes/sizes, anywhere from 2" square to 15" square. science equipment-- test tubes, other sorts of lab equipment (to be returned after camp) interesting/unusual old-fashioned "gadgets"-- kitchen, etc. (to be returned after camp) bags of chips fresh fruit or veggies (please bring weekend of June 27th only) For Jump Start (back-to-school daycamp Aug. 5-9) gently used or new children's books in good condition Song of Preparation school & art supplies of all sorts gently used orDay new backpacks Happy Hughes bags of chips fresh fruit or veggies (please bring weekend of Aug. 4th only)

Trusted prayer partners will be available after the service, at the front of the Sanctuary, to listen and pray with anyone who so desires. Parents of infants: If needed/desired, a nursing moms room is located in the lobby with video link to the worship service. A nursery with loving caregivers is also available across the courtyard. Please join us in the courtyard for light refreshments and a time to be together immediately following the service.

Koinonia Prayer & Praise potluck Club: Tonight


The next Koinonia Prayer & Praise potluck tonight, May 5th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room of the church. Dick & Judy Tautrim and Dean & Judy Pruitt will be your hosts. Please contact Judy T. at rtautrim@gmail.com or 818-352-8648 to coordinate your potluck item.

After the prayer, we invite all children Kindergarten and under to go to their Sunday school classes. Children grades 1st through 5th remain in worship.

Cross-Cultural Ministry Meeting: May 7th


The next Cross-Cultural Ministry Team meeting is Tuesday, May 7 th at 7:00 p.m. at the Krafts home (1200 Lyndon St., So Pasadena). All Church Open House: May 11th


Mary and John Barkman, long-time members of Pasadena Covenant Church, will be moving to Mount Miguel Covenant Village near San Diego in early June. Please come to extend your words of blessing and encouragement to them as they journey on to the next stage of their lives. Tuesday, May 14th, will be our next monthly gathering for Pasadena Covenant! Join us for a Community Dinner at the Dally/Lamme home (452 Alberta St. Altadena, CA 91001). Well share a meal together and enjoy a relaxed evening of fun! Dinner is a great way to make new friends and get to know old friends better. Dinner will be ready at 6:30 p.m., but feel free to come as early as 5:00 p.m. and stay as late as 9:00 p.m. Please RSVP to Mindie Moore at mmoore@pasadenacovenant.org so we can have an idea of how much food to prepare.
