Qualified specialist workshop

A qualified specialist workshop has the necessary specialist knowledge, tools and qualifications to carry out the work required on the engine to a professional standard. This is especially important for work relevant to safety. A qualified specialist workshop must carry out the required service, maintenance and repair work and document it according to the specifications of Daimler AG. Failure to comply with these specifications could lead to the loss of warranty entitlements. Mercedes-Benz recommends that you use a Mercedes-Benz or MTU Service Centre.

Cold-start aid
The cold-start aid makes it easier to start the engine at low outside temperatures (below 15 ); it is activated when the outside temperature falls below 4 .

For details on this, see the table below. Even if the maintenance intervals are reduced, operation with higher sulphur contents will lead to increased engine wear, especially on the fuel injectors. When necessary, use only approved fuel additives. There is otherwise a risk of impaired engine performance or engine and catalytic converter damage. The use of appropriate fuel additives is your responsibility.
