Broadway Park • 501 N. Broadway There are 3 covered picnic areas to reserve. Enjoy the
beautiful playground and water feature that operates during the summer months.
Recreation Crane park caters to large group events with Area B accommodating up to 190 people.
Donnelly Park • 600 Pedras Road There are 14 picnic areas that can be reserved, all are

picturesque lake. No swimming or fishing allowed.
Pedretti Park Picnic Area • 2400 Tegner Road Pedretti Park is located off Highway 99.
It features a large covered picnic area that seats up to 85 people. Pedretti has a nice playground, volleyball
poles, and several BBQ’s.
Pedretti Park Sports Complex • 2400 Tegner Road One of the finest softball facilities in
the Central valley, featuring 4 softball fields and 1 baseball diamond. All fields are available for rent and use for
tournaments.
Gemperle Fields at Turlock Regional Sports Complex • 4545 N. Kilroy Road
Conveniently located off Highway 99, with 9 soccer fields and 2 softball diamonds. The fields at the Sports
Complex are perfect for tournament rentals.

The City of Turlock Recreation Division announces that Youth & Senior
Recreation Scholarships are available through the Recreation office for
participation in City of Turlock Recreation Activities. Participants must be
18 years of age or under, or 62 years of age and above, and must live within
the city limits of Turlock.

The Healing Journey This moving exhibition will
showcase works created by participants in the Memorial Medical Center’s program of complementary
therapies for cancer survivors and their family members. Through this highly successful program, instructors
work through the mediums of visual art and photography, creative writing, and music to engage participants in
expressing their emotions and stirring their spirits.

Focus On: The Merced Camera Club This group exhibition will feature photos
– traditional, digital and computer manipulated – by the 34 members of this active group. Members live in
communities from Turlock to Chowchilla, Patterson to Le Grand, and range in experience from
beginners to semi-professionals, including many advanced, award-winning hobbyists.
The exhibition promises to be a wonderful trip through the world of photography.

Little Gigglers Summer Camp : Come and join in the fun! This program will offer a
variety of fun activities targeting children eligible for kindergarten this fall – 2nd grade in a day-camp
atmosphere. Enrichment activities, educational games, arts, crafts and indoor / outdoor activities geared to
stimulate group and individual play will all be a part of this program. An afternoon snack will be provided
everyday. This program has a maximum of 40 participants per week, so register early.

Kids Korner : Calling all parents!!! Do you need a safe place for your Kindergartner to go before

This class is an opportunity to learn beginning and intermediate ballet dance. The
beginning class will incorporate the correct placement of the body, legs and feet with the coordination
of the head and arms. The intermediate class will enhance your ballet training & work toward technical
ballet, body strengthening and advancement to point. Register by Friday, April 17 to avoid class being

Junior Lifeguard I : This training program is designed for those interested in learning how
to respond in an aquatic emergency. This class serves as a foundation for further training and employment in
lifeguarding and aquatics. This is a great opportunity for those individuals interested in working towards becoming a
certified lifeguard. This program includes 3 weeks of training and 1 week of shadow work with a certified lifeguard.

Junior Lifeguard II : This class will expand on the material from the Jr. Lifeguard I. Participants will

WATER POLO PROGRAMS • At Pitman High Pool
Introduction to Water Polo : Youth ages 8 - 12 years are encouraged to sign up to learn
the basic components to the game of water polo. This camp offers instruction on “egg beater” kicking, passing,
shooting and blocking techniques, as well as game strategies. Swimmer must have passed Level 2 swimming or have
the ability to swim across the pool without assistance.

Youth Water Polo League : The goal of the Youth Water Polo League is to grow the sport
of water polo by increasing participation at the youth level. This program will provide participants with a unique
opportunity to learn necessary skills from trained coaches and competitive Water Polo athletes. Participants will be
broken into age groups to better teach and learn the fundamentals of the game, including tournament play.
This league will teach the basic fundamentals of passing, shooting, dribbling, movement in the water, offense, defense,
and advantages through creating a culture of encouragement where participants learn the importance of dedication,
integrity, passion for the sport.

Come out and play the game of baseball in a non-
competitive atmosphere. Boys and Girls ages 4 to 6 years can join a team and play 6 games of
T-Ball against other children. This program is an introduction to baseball and is taught and played in a
non-competitive format. No score is kept, all players are winners! All of our coaches are volunteers, if
you want to coach give us a call. Players receive a t-shirt and replica major league hat. Pictures not
included with registration.
T-Ball (hit off batting tee) must be at least 4 years of age as of July 1. No exceptions!

Youth Flag Football League : Looking to play football but not yet ready for tackle
football? Here is the program for you. Join us for an eight game flag football league. Teams will be set
in three divisions of play, 2nd grade to 4th grade, 5th and 6th grade, and 7th and 8th grade. All
teams will be set by the Recreation Division and teams will be coached by parent volunteers. Players will
receive a team shirt for the games. Flags will be provided to each coach as equipment. Anyone interested
in coaching please contact the Recreation Division. Pictures not included with registration.

students are introduced to a wide range of art materials and ideas. Kids will explore various processes such as mixed media
painting, drawing, sculpting with clay, printmaking and more. In the process, students will learn about famous artists and their
styles, will experiment with techniques, and create exciting works of art. Each session will have a different theme, with lots
opportunities to be creative and have fun!

Friday Night Out This program is for youth and adults, 12 years and older with developmental
disabilities. Programs are designed to promote socialization, independent functioning and recreational skills.
Activities will include crafts, games, social time, refreshments and fun. This class runs the 3rd Friday of each
