Please provide a research proposal that contains the following information in no more than 2 pages. 1. Research Title and Summary State the research title and provide a short summary of the research or course work you wish to conduct at Kanazawa University. 1. Introduction Maluku province is islands province located in eastern Indonesia, consists of 632 islands. The total area of 712,479 Km2 Maluku province consists of 54,185 km2 of land (7.6%) and the sea 658,294 km2 (92.4%). Along the coastal areas have a lot of damage beach. This is a very serious problem and must be resolved immediately. Wave climate, in combination with currents, tides and storm surges, is the main cause of coastal erosion problems. Various coastal structures can be applied to solve, or at least, to reduce these problems. They can provide direct protection (breakwaters, seawalls, dikes) or indirect protection (offshore breakwaters of various designs), thus reducing the hydraulic load on the coast. Breakwater is a wave blocks construction effectively used to prevent shore from erosion by dissipating the wave energy before it can reach the coastal areas. A breakwater should be designed perfectly suitable with the environmental characteristics. It is also used for tourism objects conservation. Submerged breakwater is a kind of breakwater which all the structures dip into the water or located under the water surface. Besides preventing the shore from erosion due sea wave hurl, the use of submerged breakwater do not block the scenery hence keeping the aesthetics and natural beauty aspects. Technically, this study will conduct to evaluate the wave attenuation on submerged breakwater Sinking Six-Tooth Saws Breakwater, where all the structures immersed (Numerical Model) and then validated by submerged breakwater Sinking Six-Tooth Saws Breakwater with various slope and porousity (Physical Model). 2. The Objective The objective of this research is to reduce water wave come from deep water before arrive at coastal, with approach refraction effect principal from tooth of saw model test. To attain this goal, they are designed to allow the transmission of a certain amount of wave energy over the structure by overtopping and also some transmission through the porous structure (exposed breakwaters) or wave breaking and energy dissipation on shallow crest (submerged structures). 3. Methodology Research Location While location of research studies conducted on the Marine Environment Laboratory and Wave Energy, Marine Technology Faculty, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya, Indonesia. If in Japan The Laboratory is available, this research will be done in Japan. The model construction and modification flume Laboratory equipments are used consist of measuring flume tank : 20.00 x 2.00 x 1.50 m. The flume is equipped with a wave drive using a computerized automatic control. The movement created by the wave-making waves float and the actuator, moving down and climbed vertically. Other equipment for this research: Wave generator, Wave Computer Recorder, Wave Graphic Plotter Recorder, Computer. Forms (construction) testing the model in this experiment as much as sinking six-tooth saws. 2. b. Future Goal Firstly, my study research will enable you to contribute to the social or economic development of Indonesia, especially Maluku. An expert lecturer will be a beneficial factor in teaching process, because an expert lecturer can teach more better with their knowledge. The result is an improvement in the quality of student, of course it is an improvement in human resources for Indonesia, especially for Maluku. Maluku province is islands province located in eastern Indonesia, consists of 632 islands. The total area of 712,479 Km2 Maluku province consists of 54,185 km2 of land (7.6%) and the sea 658,294 km2 (92.4%). The potential wealth of Maluku sea is very abundant, but there is no management seriously and therefore has not impacted the improvement of community welfare. Maluku is a province in spite of the archipelago, but the activities of public life is still oriented to the land. As a result of community-oriented land management, the vast sea filled with potential that is very abundant not worked out so that the revenue from the maritime sector from a GDP of just 18 percent. Now is the time the sea serve as a source of livelihood. Today the beach in Maluku has been a lot of damage caused by such natural like wave climate, in combination with currents, tides and storm surges, is the main cause of coastal erosion problems. This research will design a submerge breakwater can be applied to solve, or at least to reduce these problems. It is also used for tourism objects conservation. As a researcher can give innovation products as a construction design that later can be used for the benefit of Maluku in order to overcome current environmental issues, especially coastal area. Secondly, I am a lecturer at Pattimura University, an educational institution which educates student from high school in Maluku to become Sarjana in various field. I am teaching: Physics, Calculus, welding Technology, Optimation Method. I want to improve my knowledge and skill through my research to become an expert lecturer in coastal Engineering and Management at Pattimura University that will be loaded as a new study program.

I entered Faculty of Technology of Technology Pattimura University in Ambon, Indonesia at Department of of Naval Architecture in July 1988. On 16 th April 1994, she graduated from the above mentioned faculty and awarded of Degree of Sarjana in Naval Architecture (Bachelor Degree). On 21st August 2003 she graduated and awarded of Degree of Master in Marine Technology, Coastal Engineering and Management, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology Surabaya for 4 (four semester).
