Re: How can yoU improve session performance in aggregator transformation? Ans session performance in aggregator T/R can be wer increased by # 8 aggregation cache i.e through increamental
aggregation. Aggregation cache has tow caches i)index ii) data. For first run it performs aggregation
calculation in aggregation cache.Index cache contains group by port values.Data cache will contain if any variable ports are created and output port on which we want to implement aggregate function. Rowid of last record which is participated in Agg. T/R will be saved in repository. During second run it finds the rowid of last record then it performs increamental aggregation. The integration service will check the historical information in the index cache file for corresponding group. If it finds it performs aggregation operation increamentally. If not finds then it will adda new port for aggreagtion.

with that condition. So only one value will be returned to the transformation. 3)If we need entire values we must go for joiner. Take that look up table as source and use joiner. Qu wt is Dynamic lookup Transformation? esti when we use?how we use? on Question Submitted By :: Guest I also faced this Question!! Rank
Answer Posted By
When we use dynamic lookup the process is as follows: 1. When the first record is read from the lookup table/flatfile, server keeps the value in the RAM also the same information is written into two auto generated files (having random names, forgot the type, hope it is something related to index and cache). 2. When the next record comes for lookup, first the record is searched in the RAM or created file based on the conditions used in lookup condition. 3. If not found then searched in
Ashis
the Lookup table. 4. In case of dynamic lookup once value is fetched from the source with modified fields it will be updated in the RAM or autogenerated file for further lookup for same key values, before the completion of the session. (Example:- in case if emp_id 101 got modified more than one time between the two runs). 5. In case of static lookup. It will always look into the already existing value in the lookup table.
Is This Answer Correct ?
18 Yes
What Ashis told is Exactly correct apart of this Actually when lookup table contains less data
then we will go for the Dynamic Lookup cache, performance increases. If large data is there means its better to go for static cache.
