Objective
In order to set the standard installation criterion for 2G BTS swap for Huawei 2G BTS3900A or DBS3900 in DTAC project and also reference for acceptance

FlexiEdge
Swap existing FlexiEdge site with BTS3900A (DC: TMC + RFC) or DBS3900 (DC: TMC + RRU) The new equipment should be replaced the existing rack position, next to the rectifier as a first rack. In the case of FlexiEdge on stub platform, must adjust the existing C-Beam and put the new cross-beam for install the new BTS3900A.
Caution: Please refer to guide line, how to modify the existing beam for FlexiEdge on existing stub platform. How to move the existing bar or new add c-beam to support 620mm width of new cross beam, and if any holes have been drilled on site, galvanized spray should be used, for rust protection.
In case of FlexiEdge (feeder less), RRU will be mounted on the top of tower near antenna, the new platform will be made on the another side of stub to support new TMC cabinet, as shown below;

Metrosite
Swap existing Metro site with DBS3900 (AC: APM30 + RRU) RRU will be installed instead of existing Metrosite position (but if any position change from the existing, we should get approve from the DTAC, site by site) and find the neighborhood space for install the new APM30 cabinet. (Which can be wall mounted, attached to a pole or made the steel base for install the APM30 on the ground).

Installing in a container
Use long Bolt M12, washer, double nut. Drill the hole through the floor, as shown below as a first priority. If impossible, tapping screw and top bay ladder fixing are also allowed (The existing hole shall be filled with silicone outdoor clear type, after remove)

Note: After installation done, please return the entire metallic hoop to DTAC and close with dummy and rubber seal, as shown below;

Board Layout
For BBU box, the boards has already finished installation during factory; No need to adjust; For RFC cabinet, MRFU has already finished installation during factory. No need to adjust; For every cluster, HUAWEI will send the following layout picture for every site. If you found BBU/RFC layout not the same, call HUAWEI OMC. Layout example:
If the site need to add UBRI or UTRP board, put UBRI as slot 2 and UTRP as slot 4; For SLPU: default as following. If the site has more than 4 E1, need to add UELP in BBUs slot 0; UELP UFLP USLP2 USLP2

In case using Huawei cabinet (TMC /APM30) with Huawei standard equipment (BBU, DCDU, SLPU). Its not necessary to install the ground cable for equipment because the Bar Mounting inside cabinet have already connected to the ground. Incase RFC 2 cabinet cannot install beside RFC 1 cabinet and have some space between them. The Installer has to request SFP, Optical cable (10/20m), and Communication alarm nd cable for connect the 2 RFC cabinet. 9.1.3 DBS3900 (AC: APM30 + RFC) The power and internal signal cables are the same like APM30 cabinet in BTS3900A; 9.1.4 DBS3900 (DC: TMC + RFC) The power and internal signal cables are the same like TMC cabinet in BTS3900A;

To set that the type of LAN cable must be FTP CAT5e type. LAN cable is use to connect between BBU and IPRAN equipment. For Indoor case, the LAN cable should be wired with PVC OD 25mm. Keep proper bending, Not too much or too less. Fix it with white cable tie. Tidiness should be the first to realize and the label should be shown clearly.
For Outdoor case, LAN cable should be wired in waterproof flexible conduit . If existing IPRAN equipment have been installed in 3G Outdoor cabinet and this cabinet does not have the cable hole for this LAN cable, The installer have to drill the new hole size at the bottom center position of the cabinet as shown below.

9.3.2
BTS Using E1 Cable For the site over D/W, means the site is over E1, the following S2 port uses the E1 cable to connect the customer transmission device. S1: from GTMU E1/T1 port to UELPs INSIDE port; S2: from UELPs OUTSIDE port to customers transmission device.
Every E1 trunk supports totally 4 E1. When making the ports of E1, make one more port for redundancy and packed it with a bag for dust-proof.

Every 4 alarms use one LAN cable. For every GBTS, HUAWEI BTS connects 12 alarms to DTAC alarm box. Totally 3 LAN cable connect from USLP2 to external alarm box.

Remark: notice the remark on the site. For some site, the external alarm for BTS may not from the first port of Krone. For example: the following site, EXT_AL_I/P start from the port 7.
When swap to HUAWEI BTS, remove the old NSN BTS cables on alarm box. Wire the 3 LAN cables by following order: Port 1~4: orange white/orange/blue white/blue/green /green white /brown white/brown Port 5~8: orange white/orange/blue white/blue /green /green white /brown white/brown Port 9~12: orange white/orange /blue white/blue/green /green white/brown white/brown Remark: Notice that the order is not the same on USLP2 side; If one Krone (10 ports), loop back the last two ports directly to BTS site.

When adjust, notice the old labels and wires color order. If some wires dont have label, check with DTAC FO for the usage of the wires and make the temporary labels before swap the alarm. For example, the following old connection doesnt have the label.

Add breaker on non-priority side for BTS, cascaded by 25 sq.mm cable from copper comb -48V bar and connect -48V DC power cable to DCDU, and connect (+0V) cable from DCDU to available slot on the main bus bar, as shown below;
Caution: - Ensure that the cables are connected to the correct polarities. - During installation of power cables ensure the bare connectors are taped with electrical tape to prevent short circuit.

Outdoor scenario, both side of surge arrestor should be wrapped with rubber tape and PVC tape with black cable tie at both end of the tape as shown below, and ground cable should be 16 sq.mm (If theres no ground bar, C-taps/C-clamp is allowed to connect to the main ground)

Back view:
For indoor site, the feeder goes from back and climb on the cable ladder as above pictures. In case Surge Arrestors have been installed at the existing site, it is not necessary to dismantle it. New Jumper can connect to Surge Arrestor directly. And wrap the connector with Rubber tape and insulation tape for Outdoor case. For the surplus length of the jumper, the installer should wire the surplus length by roundabout ladder way. Fix it with Clamp nice and tidy.

Almost ladder are on the top. If the site has vertical Ladder ready, Jumper Clamp can be used for fixing the jumper along the existing vertical ladder to the top ladder. If the site does not have vertical ladder, the installer have to provide the new one (50 cm, Hot dip galvanized ladder)
Calibrate the Frequency band for which testing VSWR for 1800, connect the Test port extension cable on site master test port, take the DTF reading and its in limit then save it, Take the VSWR reading and if it is in limit then save it. VSWR of every RF jumper should not be more than 1.3 or existing VSWR, otherwise please check the connection of RF jumper

Method for keeping surplus optical length on the ladder Spare all optical cable at the bottom of horizontal ladder. Do no left on tower. Keep it by separate by sector. The proper bending diameter is 40 cm. (Not less than 30 cm.). Fix it with Stainless cable tie as shown below;
For prevent cross sector problem. Mark the color tape for each sector for both optical cable and power cable every time before install.

When spread out cable from the roll should be set the roll in vertical to prevent the cable twist as shown below.
When wiring power cable and CPRI cable throught Feeder window. Cable gland 7/8 should be installed by separate power cable and CPRI cable in each hole. The above hole is for power cable and the bottom hole is for CPRI cable. Sealing with transparent outdoor type silicone(clear type) only. Cable hole position can be set by follow site appropriate.

Ground cable
The sizing of ground cable for BTS3900A, TMC, APM30, RRU, OCB should be copper 16 sq.mm. Green color. Wiring from the cabinet to existing Ground bar by install with OT terminal M8 JG2(2 holes), Washer, and Spring washer as shown below;
Caution: The proper size of hexagon compression tool should be used for each matching size of cable, below unmatch sample is not acceptable.
Set the prority for grounding on the tower, as follows; 1) Connect to bus bar installed on tower by using 2 holes cable lug.

4) Connect between the tower segments connection. (If any additional ground cable, can be grounded to this cable by using C-clamps as shown below)
( 5) Run a new main ground cable from equipment to ground level and Connect the equipment on the tower to the new main ground cable with C-clamps. C-taps/C-clamp should be made of copper tin coated, for taps between the main ground (which might be AAC 95 or copper 70 sq.mm) and branch ground cable 16 sq.mm one or more together, wrap with rubber and pvc tape and tie with black cable tie at the both end. And black cable tie should be used to fix the branch cable along the way to taping point.

TMA
If the NSN site using the TMA, the old NSN jumper is connected to the Bias-Tee. When swap to HUAWEI , connect the new jumper to the Bias-Tee. No need to remove other connection: include the Bias-Tees power connection from PDU and the power supply from PDU(TMA Power Box in the following picture) ;

If the NSN site using MHA, the MHA is powered by NSN feeder from NSN BTS(Bias-tee is inside the NSN BTS); when swap , just remove the old jumper to HW new jumper

Repeater
If the old NSN site connects with Repeater, when swap, connect HUAWEI new jumper to the coupler. No need to remove other connection;

Antenna
To fix the bracket to antenna pipe, ensure that the bracket is tight enough and cannot be moved by shaking after installation
Check the position of antenna at the tower according to the specified height and azimuth using compass. GSM antenna install with the mounting pole or mounting kit. Mechanical tilt kit also install with antenna. Follow the GSM plan for antenna height, antenna model, azimuth, Mechanical & electrical tilt.

RRU
RRU can be installed to the leg of tower, pole, antenna mounting and the wall, depend on the site condition as shown below;
To wiring the RRU power cable and CPRI optical cable, please be careful its neat. Select the proper length for each tower height (try to minimize the surplus length), if any please coil by separate the sector under the horizontal ladder. RRU empty hole should be filled with waterproof filler in order to avoid the water leakage in to the cover. (Note 2G RRU3908V1, CPRI_W is located on the top, difference from RRU3804 on the bottom)

To prevent water leakage into the RRU cover, make sure all the surround rubber is in its place and screw firmly and tightly, on the cover screw
To install the Jumper, the connector torque should be 25 N-m for 7/16 DIN type connector and the bending radius should not be lower than 50 mm or Diameter 10 cm. After the connection point, jumper should go straight (Try to avoid bending or coil) before binding with cable tie for 2 jumper together as shown below;

Surge Protection
Shield Feeder to earth (If any)
Cut the insulation of feeder cable measuring the length of grounding cable from the bus bar according to the width of the grounding clamps. Install grounding clamp and waterproof it according to specified procedure, Length of cut insulation of feeder should correspond with the length of grounding clamp. The new grounding kit should depend on existing feeder grounding kit position, as shown below;

Inside RRU, remove its jacket/outer sheath but keep the shield, lock the ground clamp to shield layer of RRU power cable as shown below;

If any OCB, making the shield cable 4 cm (Both 10 sq.mm and 4 sq.mm.) and connected to the PGND inside the OCB as shown below (Sealed with silicone clear type both holes)
Remark: RRU and OCB should connect to earth by protection ground cable, in order to ensure that the surge projection is work

Remove the jacket from the 20 cm and use the heat shrink D8/4 as shown below, shield should be separate for each RRU sector, its prohibited to bundle together, and connect to PGND port of DCDU, as shown below;

Remove the RRU power jacket inside TMC/APM30 in case of DBS and connect the shield to earth by using accessory kit as shown below

Optional: beside above shield to earth for surge protection, this is optional for additional surge protection (The last position ground bar, before connect to the cabinet) Grounding kit connection method: 1. Remove RRU outer jacket around 55~60 mm 2. Wrap the shield layer with the ground accessory kit as shown below 3. Cable tie should be pulled firmly, 3 cable ties is needed 4. Cut the ties from head smoothly but no burr left 5. Water-proof tape and insulation tapes must b e wrapped follow this instruction fully 6. Wrapping the water-proof tape and insulation tapes 3 rounds just start from lower to top, top to lower, and lower to top, tie with cable tie at both end.

13.1
Others
To convey Antenna and RRU to the top of tower
There should be at least 4 persons, 2 persons on tower, 2 persons on the ground, and convey as detail below; 1. Before convey, rope and pulleys should be checked every time 2. Tie the equipment (ANT or RRU) to the rope, if any jumper connected with equipment, it should be tie as well (We do recommend to install and wrap all the tape on the antenna side on the ground before convey to the top of tower) 3. Ground and Person on top should notified (shout) each other, before taking any action for Safety reason. 4. During convey, be careful of equipment to bump to the tower part. 5. Person on top have to installed all the equipment before untie the rope every time Remark: Prefer to connect the jumper and wrapping the tape on ground, as much as we can, instead of make it on the top of the tower which is more difficult, waste the time, more safety and neat.
