How to control worry and stress. Say, You gave me a restless night.

I woke up early this morning thinking of how to help you not to worry and stress, and stop taking sleeping pills. I was going to write earlier but I had to take Annie to an all day Girl Guide leadership training camp near Wollongong. You are a totally useless bugger, if I may say, when it comes to spiritual practice. Because of your objection to Buddhism and Zen Meditation and your fervent devotion to Jesuit Catholicism, I have spent years explaining the inner esoteric secrets of the Bible to you. There are many ways to get to the top of spiritual Mount Everest. You have chosen the Jesuit Catholic route, so I had to explain the PATH to you in the Way of Jesus. Because if you follow what they literally and religiously preach in church, you will still stay on Jacobs Ladder, going up and down between heaven and earth, for endless angel lives and existences. Please note that one can also get to the top of spiritual Mount Everest through the Way of the Tao or the Middle (Buddhist) Way. In fact, I am more sagacious in the Tao and Zen. I have explained the secret meaning of every single Jesus parable to you. Yet you still do not understand. You continue to make oblations and pray to God asking for his help to make you richer [in all elements of life business, work, family] when God is not interested in the sons of Adam but only his lost spirit wayward vagrant prodigal sons caught up in the Fall from Grace from the Original Sin. Have you forgotten what Jesus said, that you must seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. [Matthew 7:34]? and that the kingdom of God is among us [Luke 17:21]? Did I not explain what Jesus meant secretly when he instructed us not to worry and he gave the example of the birds in the sky and the lilies and the grass out in the field; and that we do not have to worry about what we eat, drink or wear (Matthew 7:26-31)? Did I not explain what Jesus meant secretly when he said to let the dead bury the dead when we follow him (Matthew 8:22)? So, why do you still worry and stress? I have no choice; but given your total lack of training in Zen Meditation I have to do what I have never done before. I have to apply a spiritual resuscitator to you to hopefully give you a Zen sudden awakening. It has never been done before. Everyone is supposed to awaken through their own karmic consequence and destiny. But you are my twin! What is the use of me crossing over to the other shore when you are still stranded on the opposite side! I can perhaps help you in teaching you the shortcut to 'meditation' as in the cryptic word for how to stay calm and not worry or stress. You will still worry and stress but you will now have the contemplative ability to 'stay calm and collected' within a minute reflection or pause. Listen very carefully, step by step. For this is secret astute spiritual knowledge. Firstly, just take my word and trust me that there are two types of consciousness in you.

Why, you may ask? Logically, if everything you perceive is duality - night and day, yin and yang, + and -, good and bad, male and female, then if an alien extra-terrestrial or GOD can see us, it will see that we have (1) spiritual consciousness and (2) worldly consciousness. The spiritual consciousness is, taking it a step further, or can be conveniently treated like intuition, or the mind in your spiritual 'heart' [the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Christianity or Metta the genetically wired loving-kindness of a mother for her child.] or 'gut feeling' or even instinct. This is in contrast to worldly consciousness and its related perceptions of the human worldly mind and the five senses and so-called human intelligence. So the spiritual consciousness is inert and introvert and worldly-shy and nameless; and although it is in this world it is not impacted by the things and events of this world; whilst the worldly consciousness of your human persona answering to your given name is sensual, emotional, is caught up and entangled in this world; has outpourings of feeling and experiences the world mentally and physically; and is obsessed by this worldly existence, so much so that it possesses or has an obsession with something we know as 'fear'. Worries and stress are subsets of 'fear'. The worldly consciousness fears the unknown and uncertainties of life and in fact also the certainties of life like taxes and death. These two or dual selves in One are obviously not the same. The spiritual consciousness is like a huge circle figuratively representing its characteristic, like the space of air and the sky and the void of the cosmos. In contrast, the worldly consciousness is a smaller circle and a subset of the huge circle; and is akin to the stars and the planets in the backdrop of infinite space. In Buddhist terms the spiritual consciousness is represented by EMPTINESS; and the worldly consciousness is represented by FORM. Note it is only an illustrative or allegorical representation. Here emptiness is not really empty nor does form exclude something that is intangible. For we know, it is silly to compare apples and oranges. We are just speaking in relative or correlative terms. You know how it is when you are a tree in the jungle that you cannot see the jungle? Again I am speaking in metaphor, because Zen can only be spoken wordlessly and understood esoterically. This is why Jesus preached using parables. So those who worldly see are in fact blind and those who are worldly blind can spiritually see. The spiritual consciousness allegorically represented by the huge circle can 'see' the smaller circle of the worldly consciousness but not the other way around. This is because FORM can only see FORM; worldly eyes can only see worldly things. But EMPTINESS like space and air and 'spirit' can see FORM. Why? Think? Without space or void or EMPTINESS you will not have a house, a box, a wheel, a window or even your respiratory tubes to breathe, or channels for the rivers to flow to the sea. Life and Existence is just like a river flowing to the sea. What is the conclusion? Spiritual consciousness has an awareness that is infinite but the worldly consciousness has an awareness that is a subset of the worldly consciousness. Given the above introductory background, there is however a serious restriction or constraint or limit or flaw to the awareness of the worldly consciousness, as compared to that of the awareness of the spiritual consciousness. What is the limit? The worldly consciousness as the human being is only conscious and aware when it is physically awake. It is not conscious when it is asleep! In contradistinction, the spiritual consciousness like the emptiness of space is timeless and therefore eternal. That is explaining eternity metaphorically. In that sense the huge circle of EMPTINESS

of the spiritual consciousness never sleeps in its vastness of awareness. Why? There is no FORM requiring sleep. FORM if it does not sleep will go into disrepair like plant and machinery. The formless like EMPTINESS of air has nothing to waste or repair! The EMPTINESS of space does not require the sleep of repair and maintenance that FORM requires. A human being (FORM) who cannot sleep will die sooner! Think, think, and think! When the worldly consciousness is asleep, who is it that does the dreaming? Who is the One? And whose awareness is active and about (when the worldly consciousness is asleep)? And is said to be dreaming? Whose is this 'sublime' awareness that is totally aware and fully participating in the dream when the worldly consciousness is sound asleep? In your deep sleep your worldly consciousness cannot be the one dreaming! It is your spiritual consciousness! It is your eternal being! Your worldly being of your worldly consciousness is therefore, by inverse deduction, just a more sophisticated dream of your spiritual consciousness! What the worldly consciousness is experiencing, thinking it is a self-existent human persona experiencing, is just a continuous virtual reality of a karmic movie. It is just an illusion of a false self-ego! Everything is reeling by, frame by frame, as an experience that once experienced is gone like the turning windmills in the worldly mind! So, when you worry or stress, take stock, i.e. take a deep breath and shut off your worldly consciousness by putting on the hat of your spiritual consciousness. Why do this? What is the rationale? Let me explain! When your worldly consciousness go to sleep, your spiritual consciousness is still the same and still awake and aware. When your worldly consciousness wakes up your spiritual consciousness is still the same and still awake and aware. Its awareness never sleeps, never stops or falters like your worldly awareness. It is continually present and aware in the background space backdrop of the worldly awareness 24/7 in eternal time! But your worldly consciousness is not awake, when you are asleep. Its worldly awareness is not there, when you are asleep. It is already dead from each sleep to each waking up! Why should you in or as your spiritual consciousness worry about the travails of the worldly consciousness (that is only a mortal dream) then? If you do not train yourself now to awake in the awareness that is your spiritual consciousness; how will you be able to watch your worldly consciousness when it goes to sleep permanently i.e. die! How would you lose your fear of death? When you train to let go of your worldly consciousness, you are also learning to let go of your worldly worries and stress. In any case when you have no fear of death you automatically have no fear of worries or stress. Awake to your eternal spiritual awareness! Love. Chuan 11/5/13
