Katia Arnold HR Officer in Stuttgart Since 2006 at MAHLE "I have been directing the International Graduate Program at MAHLE for five years. What makes the job so interesting and multi-faceted every day? Definitely the programs individual character. No graduate program goes the same way jointly with the mentors, we work out an individual program for each
graduate and search for challenging projects. And, of course, internationality. Each graduate has at least one assignment in a foreign country and this is organized with the help of local colleagues. One of my personal highlights in recent years was definitely the introduction of the program in other regions of the world. I had an opportunity to support the initial recruiting for graduates in our program in Brazil and to assist the selected
candidates during their assignment to Germany. Recruiting a globally deployable, flexible group of young employees for MAHLE, individually promoting each member and encouraging their professional growth I think this is a coherent package it is a job that gives me satisfaction and enables me to help create a new generation of employees at the MAHLE Group."

employees work together each day on the tasks of the future. Were committed to progressits part of our tradition. As early as 1920, MAHLE was ahead of its time: the Mahle brothers were producing revolutionary light-alloy pistons at their small, newly established company and eventually developing air and oil filters, and our success story continues. Today, were still driven by performance. This motivationour inner driveis what makes our employees want to continue developing. Dr. Armin Messerer Director Sales Planning / Market and Competitors MAHLE is playing an active part in shaping the global development of the automotive industry. In my role, I therefore need an in-depth overview of the global automotive and supplier industry. Thats the only way I can continuously provide the best possible support to the
decision-making process. I benefit substantially from my global network, which I have built up as Assistant to the Chairman of the Management Board. Together with my team, Ive always got my finger on the pulse of the worldwide automotive industry and know what the automotive world of tomorrow will look like. We know the prospects of success for new technologies at a very early stage,
and can take prompt measures to expand promising business segments. Thats what makes MAHLE fascinating for me. What do I expect from the future? Just that: the future. MAHLE will continue to help shape the development of power train technologies with innovative products, and Im pleased that Im able to make a contribution to that.

Kristina Hahne Project Manager Cooling Gensets and Renewable Energy I was positively surprised by the cross-functional collaboration within the company and the highly dynamic environment that goes hand in hand with wind power, our sales market. Whats also exciting is that we utilize synergies from different business
units. Since MAHLE is a systems supplier to the market, MAHLE Behr Industry and MAHLE Industrial Filtration work closely together. Thanks to our global presence and teamwork across many different countries, I also have many opportunities to establish both national and international contacts, and thus build up my own network. We have set ourselves ambitious goals
for the future. We want to expand our presence on the market, win new customers, and further expand this promising business. In short, we want to leverage all the power of our team to move this young sector of wind power forward.
Jan-Frederek Thiele Finance Manager I will always associate the International Graduate Program with my project: preparing the opening balance sheet for a newly founded joint venture in Macheng, China. I was able to take on responsibility and apply what Id learnt while
at Group headquarters. Besides being challenged in my area of specialization, the most exciting aspect for me was the intercultural experience I was able to gain in the Chinese city. After the program, there was a seamless transition to my subsequent work: as a Financial Analyst in England, I supervised the legal units of the MAHLE Group in
France, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain. As the activities of an analyst are usually of limited duration, I took the opportunity for a change. Today I work as a Finance Manager in Spainan ideal career move, as Im able to build on my previous work and gain more experience in taking over operational responsibility.
Matthias Langbein Director Bearings Europe One of my first big tasks at MAHLE was big in every sense of the word: I took on the challenge of planning the plant in Leibertingen, Germany. I then managed this plant for a few years before getting the opportunity to prove my skills at an international level as plant manager in Russellville/USA. MAHLE has always supported me on my career path. My superiors have encouraged and supported me in an individual way, and have shown confidence that I can overcome new challenges. I was also supported on the job by my colleagues and underwent special training and employee development programs to prepare myself in the best possible way for my new
tasks. The collaborative working relationship among colleagues at MAHLE has really left an impression on me. Thats why I give my employees a great deal of freedom and encourage them to act independently. Together with honest communication, I believe this is one of the keys to successful cooperation.
Jochen Sommer Technical Assistant to the CEO I first got to know MAHLE during a Formula Student event, a program sponsored by MAHLE in which students race cars they had designed themselves. Being part of one racing teams organizational unit was a lot of fun, and I realized then that I wanted to work for MAHLE.
Thanks to the close working relationship with MAHLE, I had the opportunity to do my final thesis in technical sales. My supervisor really stressed technical knowledge and helped me get a short internship in engine testing. This enabled me to complement my theoretical knowledge with some practical experience. After I finished my thesis I became an international graduate at MAHLE and went to my first assignment in England. My recommendation? If you want to accomplish something, you will have every opportunity to do so at MAHLE. It is simply great to be able to gain experience in the widest variety of areas and to weave together my international network.
