[LEARN TO DRAW A BOLT]

There are five steps to draw a Bolt


1. Create the Extrusion
1. Click Extruded Boss/Base on the Features toolbar.

The Front, Top, and Right planes appear, and the pointer changes to 2. Select the Front plane. 3. In Toolbar Menu, select Tool, Sketch Entities, Polygon 4. Move the pointer to the sketch origin. Click the origin vertically to create a polygon. 5. In the Property Manager, under Parameters: Set Number of Sides to 6. Click Inscribed circle. Set Circle Diameter to 18.

6. Click OK

. on the Sketch toolbar.

7. Click Exit Sketch

8. In the Property Manager, under Direction 1: Select Blind in End Condition. Set Depth to 6.9.

9. Click OK

11. Move the pointer over the front face of the part. And select the front face the part.

12. Click Circle

on the Sketch toolbar. , then move the pointer

13. Move the pointer to the sketch origin. Click the origin to create a circle. 14. In the Property Manager, under Parameters: Set Radius to 8.3. 15. Click Exit Sketch on the Sketch toolbar.

16. In the Property Manager, under Direction 1: Select Blindl in End Condition. Set Depth to 0.6.

17. Click OK

to create the extrusion. on the Features toolbar. of

18. Click Extruded Boss/Base

19. Move the pointer over the front face of the part. And select the front face the part.

20. Click Circle

on the Sketch toolbar. , then move the pointer

21. Move the pointer to the sketch origin. Click the origin to create a circle. 22. In the Property Manager, under Parameters: Set Radius to 6. 23. Click Exit Sketch on the Sketch toolbar.

24. In the Property Manager, under Direction 1: Select Blind in End Condition. Set Depth to 50.

25. Click OK

to create the extrusion.

2. Adding Chamfer
1. Click Chamfer on the Features toolbar.

2. In the Property Manager, under Chamfer Parameters: Select Edge<1> of Extrude3 in Edges and Faces or Vertex. Set Distance to 1. Set Angle to 45.

3. Sketching a Helix and Cut Sweep


1. Click Helix and Spiral on the Features toolbar.

2. Select the front face of the part.

3. Click Circle 4. Click the origin

on the Sketch toolbar. , then move the pointer to create a circle.

5. In the Property Manager, under Parameters: Set Radius to 5.05.

6. Click Exit Sketch

on the Sketch toolbar.

7. In the Property Manager, under Defined By: Select Height and Pitch.

8. In the Property Manager, under Parameters: Set Height to 46. Set Pitch to 1.75. Click Reverse direction. Set Start Angle to 0.

9. Click OK

10. In FeatureManager design tree clilck Top Plane, right click and select Insert Sketch.

11. Select Normal To

in Standard View Toolbars.

12. In Toolbar Menu, select Tool, Sketch Entities, Polygon 13. Move the pointer to the up-right of part. Click, then move the pointer downvertically to create a polygon. 14. In the Property Manager, under Parameters: Set Number of Sides to 3. Click Circumscribed circle. Set Center X Coordinate to 58. Set Center Y Coordinate to 6. Set Circle Diameter to 2.15.

15. Click Exit Sketch

on the Sketch toolbar.

4. Creating the Cut Sweep


1. In FeatureManager design tree clilck Sketch5 2. In Toolbar Menu, select Insert, Cut, Sweep 3. In the Property Manager, under Profile and Path: Click in Path Select Helix/Spiral1 in Path.
