Dear Mr. Rashid My name is Uzair Usman, from the city of Lahore, Pakistan. A few days ago I got to know of a Job opening in your company for an Online sales operator through mustakbil.com. As far as I know, this is a Part time job which could be handled online. Since I did not have an account with that website I decided to contact you directly. I have had a keen interest in the internet since it's heyday and I start website development as a hobby when I was 12 years old. Since then, I have developed over half a dozen websites including working e-commerce portals; but this has mostly remained a Hobby. As for my qualifications, I studied in the UK for five years, completing my Ba(hons) in business studies and Msc in Management. Upon completing my studies I came back to Pakistan and Joined my Family business. I was given the task of expanding our company, we were successful in setting up three new ventures in the Dairy, Pharmaceuticals and carpet import business. This initial period of business development opened my eyes to the tough challenges of practical life and I learned a lot about my strengths and weaknesses. In between I also joined the University of Management and Technology as a Lecturer under-training to improve my Public speaking/communication skills and Confidence. Currently I am a Visiting faculty Member teaching Leadership skills both in class and through an online work group. After 4 years of working with my family, I have now decided to move on build my own corporate career. I believe my broad experiences of living in the UK, building new businesses, teaching and passion for internet technologies, make me a very suitable candidate for this job. As an employee I understand the kind of dedication and professionalism which is expected of me. I love working in teams and can meet project deadlines as required. I am a visiting lecturer right now but to build my career I have always wanted to work in an internet Company. RESEARCH PROJECTS As part of my Final Msc project I completed a dissertation on the Problems of starting and managing Small and medium sized Businesses in Pakistan Understanding the feasibility of importing Solar powered water heaters/ Lights etc. from China and Turkey and selling them in Pakistan A city wide launch plan was also created for the Turkish food company, Besak-Gida, who wanted to expand in the Pakistani market. Chinese Canned meat products and Childrens candies for import were also studied. Samples were ordered and testing conducted. Extensive research and understanding was carried out on the Poultry industry in Pakistan, which included meeting several people in the business and visiting different modern farms to understand the processes involved and the investment possibilities. Off season farming was another industry which was looked upon and an experimental project was carried out on a 2 Acre piece of land. A thorough research on the Growing dairy industry was then carried out and with the help of the government Organization, Pakistan Dairy Development Company. I have excellent skills for researching through multiple sources including Internet, trade journals, company annual reports, news and magazines, as well as meeting people and getting to learn about different industries and businesses.
