GENERAL OBJECTIVE: By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to use the present simple in the context of routines, in order to perform a role play whose purpose is to write a paragraph about a persons routine, by making questions to get the necessary information .

LESSON PLAN

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE To introduce Ss to the topic.

PROCEDURE 1. WARM UP: Ss will be greeted and asked about their routines; i.e. the time they get up, have breakfast, come to school, etc.

EVALUATION Ss are expected to listen carefully to the main parts of Ts speech, so they can answer the questions. T will pay attention to the way Ss answer the questions she asks. In case Ss give a wrong answer, she will repeat the wrong answer and then give the option for the correct one. Ss will have 15 seconds to say aloud their sentence; in this time, they will be able to think and to help each other. Peer-correction will be enhanced, as T will ask the rest of the teams if the team-in-turns answer is or not correct.

TEACHERS NOTES OR METHODOLOGY DESUGGESTOPEDIA: The teacher should recognize that learners bring certain psychological barriers with them to the learning situation. They should be desuggested. SILENT WAY: A teachers silence frees him to closely observe students behavior. Noticing helps Ss make progress in accuracy, by recognizing different language features.

To remember the structure of present simple.

2. PRESENTATION: T will take some of the Ss answers and will ask Ss to help her write them in simple present, using the third person singular. She will write 3-4 sentences on the board and then will ask Ss to help her make questions and negative sentences from those sentences. 3. ACTIVITY 1: Ss will play a board game. They will be asked to get in groups of 2 or 3 depending on the number of Ss. She will paste a board game on the board as well as some sheets of paper; these will contain some information with which Ss will have to create sentences in order to move boxes in the game. Ss will have to throw a dice which will decide the number of squares they will move, but only if they create an accurate sentence with the information given.

COMMUNITY LANGUAGE LEARNING: Building relationships among Ss is very important. Language is for communication. In groups, Ss can begin to feel a sense of community. DESUGGESTOPEDIA: In an atmosphere of play, the conscious attention of the learner does not focus on linguistic forms, but rather on using the language. Learning can be fun.

4. ACTIVITY 2: Then T will paste some pictures on the board; they will be referring to a persons routine. Ss will be asked to form teams again and will be given some bond paper in which they will have to write questions and sentences (positive and negative) with the information given. T will be monitoring and enhance self-correction while Ss write the questions and sentences. Ex. What time does Sally get up? She gets up at 7:00. She doesnt get up at 8:15. 5. ACTIVITY 3: Once all Ss have finished, T will ask them to help her write a paragraph about the person in the pictures; i.e. to order chronologically the sentences they will have already written and use link words. 6. ACTIVITY 4: Ss will act out a role play. They will be asked to get in groups of 3 (preferably) however, a group may be allowed. Each of them will be given a card containing information about their character. The teams will be asked to stand separate from each other. Ss 2 will walk towards Ss 1 and will ask some information about him/her character, then will walk towards Ss 3 and will tell him/her the obtained information, which Ss 3 will write down. Then it will be Ss 3 turn to ask Ss 1 and give the information to Ss 2. This chain will go on until the 3 Ss have sentences with all the information about all their characters. Then each of them will have to write a paragraph using the information they collected.

T will listen carefully to what Ss tell her, and will repeat sentences, using a different intonation pattern, in case they are wrong or there is a mistake. T will monitor closely Ss work and will be standing by them for any time they may need help. When most of the Ss have finished, T will ask one team to read aloud their paragraphs, then the rest of Ss will be asked if the paragraph is well organized or not, in which case any other group will be asked to give their answers.

SILENT WAY: Ss should learn to rely on each other and themselves. Ss can learn from one another.
