cycle call in Materials Engineering with particular interest in prediction of mechanical properties of composite materials depending on aging and fatigue loading conditions, which is scheduled to begin November 2013. I appreciate this opportunity and I would like to provide further information about my personality and motivation. I have done Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering.from Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India in the year 2011 and Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra, India in the year 2007. My professional goal is to be a foremost academician, consultant and researcher in the field of Materials Engineering with particular interest in Metal Matrix composites. My undergraduate and post graduate studies of steel, lightweight metals, ceramics, and composites had exposed me to the reality and demand of my choice of career and have provided me with the rudiment, which I am optimistic this programme would augment greatly, to achieve my goal. My first interest came to the field of Materials Engineering when I taught materials science to my second year graduate students. The development and characterization study of metal matrix composites revealed me how, the structure of a material could be altered to produce desired properties, triggered an irreversible desire for knowledge of composite materials. The study of composite materials stimulated me to explore further in this area, so my undergraduate students under my guidance did a project on Forecasting of optimum turning parameter on surface roughness in turning of Al-Al2O3 metal matrix composite which further published in International journal of engineering science and technology, vol. 5, No. 2, pp. 267271 (February 2013). I am a diligent, hardworking and resourceful individual with a penchant for research and human capacity development. My love for knowledge and capacity development propelled me to work in academics and research where I did several projects and guided graduate and post graduate students. My commitment to personal development and continuous improvement was recently rewarded with an elevation to the position of Assistant Professor where my analytical and research skills are being employed. Italy is renowned for a long tradition of welcoming international students with facts and figures to show for it. My choice of Ph.D in Politecnico di Milano is based on internationally acclaimed commitment to innovation and research in various fields coupled with strong ties with both local and international industries. I am confident of my decision. With many distinguished scientists as professors, I know that I will gain expert knowledge at the forefront of discovery. Moreover, by combining my theoretical and specialized education with hands-on research in several projects, I will gain critical work experience.
