Contech is an engineering company specialized in providing industrial services and

solutions for Egyptian manufacturers. The main objective for our company is to help the industrial organizations to improve their performance. Our services cover a wide spectrum of the industrial activities and we provide the customers a tailored solutions based on our experience, specialist, and the customer needs.

Contech application experience includes petrochemical, food, steel rebar, casting

industries, water/wastewater treatment, electrical power distribution networks and cement manufacturing. Contech is a Schneider Electric authorized system integrator. We can provide PLC, HMI/SCADA systems and electrical drives equipment at competitive prices. Throughout our long experience in the field we have been subcontractors for well-established companies such as Schneider Electric, Siemens, Foxboro and others. Working Team The working team in Contech involves a group of Engineering Faculty Staff and Research Institute Staff and Professional Engineers with highly experience in the following areas: 1. The contact with the industry has led the way to collect a lot of experience in the technology and practical aspects.

Contech Objectives
1. Design, manufacture and delivery of Instrumentation and Control (IC) systems for different industrial sectors 2. Consultation for the Industry to study new projects and to put the technical specifications for the IC equipment. This consultation work includes tender evaluation and assessment. 3. Supervision of erection and commissioning of IC equipment, including PLC, DCS and SCADA systems with different sizes and configurations 4. CNC maintenance and revamping 5. Commissioning and startup for the industrial projects. 6. Maintenance, repair and replacement of IC equipment and systems. 7. Training of Engineers in Industry on different aspects of automatic control systems and electrical drives. List of Recent Projects in Related Areas 1. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the electrical distribution automation and monitoring systems for the following projects: a) SUMED Co., ELaien Elsokhna, Egypt. The system includes Telemecanique PLCs (Quantum PLC as a data concentrator and M340 PLCs as RTUs) and SCADA.It includes monitoring and control of AREVA protections devices(MICOM 127, MICOM 243) and Schneider protection devices ( Tesys, Micrologic) (in Commissioning Phase) b) Poly-Styrene Co., Alex, Egypt. The system includes Telemecanique PLCs (Quantum PLC for Load-Shedding system and M340 PLCs as RTUs) and SCADA. It includes monitoring and control Schneider protection devices ( Sepam ,Tesys) (in Commissioning Phase) c) Burullus Phase VII Gas Project, Rashid, Egypt. The System includes Hot-standby Safety Quantum PLC as a main data concentrator and fully redundant CITECT SCADA. It also communicates with DSC and third party systems (in Commissioning Phase) d) Naphta New Hydro-treating Unit Project for ANRPC, Alex, Egypt. The system includes Hot-Standby Premium PLCs as data concentrators, then connecting to the main DCS (in Commissioning Phase) e) Amerya Refinery for Petroleum Co., Alex, Egypt. The project was a revamping for the old PLC and SCADA, 2011.

f) El-Gamil Power Plant of Petrobel Company, Port-Said, Egypt. The system includes Telemecanique PLCs, a fully redundant double ring Ethernet Network and SCADA, 2010. g) Nubaria Power Generation Company, Ministry of Electricity, Nubaria, Egypt. The system includes Telemecanique PLC and a fully redundant SCADA, 2008. 2. Design, engineering, configuration and commissioning of the revamping project (from Mbus-Plus network to TCP/IP) of the electrical distribution, automation, protection, and monitoring systems for Middle East Oil Refinery (MIDOR), Alex, Egypt. The System includes fully redundant CITECT SCADA servers and redundant gateways for monitoring and control. The system also includes GPS modules to synchronize all servers and relays, 2010. 3. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the pump system automation and monitoring for Helton Hurghada Resort Hotel Hurghada, Egypt. The system includes Telemecanique PLC, HMI integrated with intelligent monitoring and protection devices (VSD inverters), 2009. 4. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the Cement Mill system, Helwan Cement Factory, Egypt. The system includes Telemecanique PLC, SCADA System, and integration with intelligent protection devices for electrical power medium and low voltage distribution and protection systems, 2009.

5. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the electrical distribution automation, protection, and monitoring systems for Kharafi National-Core Project-Marsa Alam, Egypt. The system includes Telemecanique PLC, SCADA System integrated with intelligent monitoring and protection devices (RIG, Ref and Rex (ABB Product) and CCM (Schneider Product)) for electrical power medium and low voltage distribution systems, 2008. 6. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the electrical distribution automation and monitoring systems the SIMIAN/SIENNA & SAPPHIRE Burulus gas company, Egypt (foreign share holder British Gas). The system includes fully redundant Telemecanique PLC, a fully redundant SCADA, and integration with intelligent protection devices for electrical power medium and low voltage distribution and protection systems. ENPPI is the main contractor, 2005.

7. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the electrical distribution automation and monitoring systems the Port Said NLG for United Gas Derivatives Company UGDC (foreign share holder ENI) . The system includes fully redundant Modicon Quantum PLC, a fully redundant SCADA, and integration with intelligent protection devices for electrical power medium and low voltage distribution and protection systems. A redundant link with DCS is implemented (the DCS is supplied, programmed and commissioned by Foxboro SPA). ENPPI is the main contractor, 2004. 8. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the electrical distribution automation and monitoring systems the new ASORC utility for Burulus gas company, Egypt. The system includes fully redundant Telemecanique PLC, a fully redundant SCADA, and integration with intelligent protection devices for electrical power medium and low voltage distribution and protection systems. ENPPI is the main contractor, 2003. 9. Engineering and programming of the RC2 gas plant using TRICONICS triplex system. The main contractor is Foxboro SPA, 2002. 10. Reconfiguration and commissioning of the control system of Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) and Compressor control system of the Hydrogen Plant in SOPCO refinery Co. Suez. This automated system is based on GEFanuc PLC 90-70 and Genius Modular redundancy GMR system with Triplex redundant in CPU and Duplex redundant/Vote in I/O points. Technip-KTI is the main contractor, 2000. 11. Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) Western Desert Gas Complex Alexandria-Egypt for Egyptian Natural Gas, GasCo , which is based on Allen Bradley PLC 5/60 with redundancy in CPU & I/O points, and DCS communication interface. ENPPI is the main contractor, Foxboro is the DCS provider, 1999. 12. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the two production lines of automated feed cane Sugar Integrated Industrial Company (S.I.I.C) Naga Hammadi. The system includes Modicon Telemecanique PLC, and SCADA system, 2002 ( upgraded in 2011). 13. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the one production line automated feed cane Sugar Integrated Industrial Company (SIIC) Kom-Ombo. The system includes Modicon Telemecanique PLC, and SCADA system 2003 ( upgraded in 2011)..

14. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the electrical distribution automation and monitoring systems in Hurghada Airport. The system includes a fully redundant Modicon Quantum PLC, communication interface with intelligent data collection devices, fully redundant SCADA, and remote data acquisition in Cairo Headquarters via modem, 2002. 15. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the remote monitoring from Cairo headquarters of the electrical distribution in Aswan Airport via modem. The system configuration is similar to the Hurghada airport,2003 . 16. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the electrical distribution automation and monitoring systems in a new Refinery in Assiut, Egypt. The system includes Telemecanique PLC, a SCADA, and integration with intelligent protection devices for electrical power medium and low voltage distribution and protection systems. ENPPI is the main contractor, 2003. 17. Design, engineering, configuration, programming and commissioning of the supervisory control system for the entire desugarization plant in Sugar Integrated Industrial Company Hawamdeyia sugar factory, Egypt, 1996. 18. Programming and commissioning of the control system for four boiler feedwater demineralization plants for Sugar Integrated Industrial Company S.I.I.C Egypt. The four factories are Edfo/ Armant/ Kous / Kom-Ombo, 1998. 19. Replacement of PLC of the Automation System of the Boiler Water Treatment (Polishing) in the Power Generation Plant of Attaka Co. Suez Electric Power Authority. The system includes the Modicon Telemecanique PLC, 2001. 20. Reprogramming PLC of the Automation System of the Boiler Water Treatment in Sugar Integrated Industrial Company (S.I.I.C) Hawamdia Sugar Refinery, 2003. 21. Design and Programming of PLC system for the Deep wells pumping station Barakats canal control system Intelligent Village Abo-Rawash, cairo Egypt, The system includes fully redundant Modicon Quantum PLC, a MMI operator panels. National Company is the main contractor, 2004.

22. Maintenance of the automated system of the Waste water treatment station in Sugar Integrated Industrial Company (S.I.I.C) Deshina and Girga Sugar factories using Siemens S5 and Wizcon SCADA. Seghers Engineering n.v. is the main contractor, 2002. 23. Design and implementation of the automated control programs of the BARAKATs canal control system (pumping station), Abo-Rawash city Smart Village, Cairo, Egypt. The automated system based on the Quantum hot standby PLC and Maglise operator interface panel. 24. Redesign, reprogramming and commissioning of the Bale Press automated control system, KomOmbo sugar factory, Sugar Integrated Industrial Company SIIC. The automated system based on Mitsubishi PLC and Mac 40+ operator interface panel, 2005. 25. Upgrading the relay logic system to a PLC system for Molding Foam Machine at Bani Sweif Co. for insulating and packing STYROPOR, the new system is based on Telemecanique PLC and operator interface panel (Nine Machines)2004. 26. CNC repair in Sugar Integrated Industrial Company (SIIC) and El-Naser Casting Co. (ENC), 2003-2005. 27. Conventional Mill modernization in Aircraft factory using NUM 1040 CNC. The project involves mechanical adaptation, electrical power panel design and commissioning, CNC system selection, programming and commissioning. (Joint project with Giza Systems/Egypt), 2005. 28. Revamping of turning machine in ABD factory (joint project with Aircraft factory and Giza Systems), 2006. 29.
