I understand that fees, coaches, venues and dates, are subject to change without prior notice.
Fees paid are non-refundable, unless the activity is cancelled by SAFRA. In special circumstances, official
proof must be produced and refund shall be determined on case-to-case basis.

2. In the event of appeals, all appeals have to be made in writing within 30 minutes after the results are
displayed and an appeals panel will handle it. A charge of $50 (cash) will be levied, refundable if the
appeal is successful.

COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS
1. JUDGING
Participants will be judged by their legitimate
hold-touch point; height reached by dynamic means is
allowed. Should more than one individual reached the
same height in the finals, a super finals will be held to
determine the winner.
2. TIMING
Timing will start when both legs clear the ground. The
maximum time allowed to scale the wall will be decided
by the President of Jury and made known to
participants before the competition starts.
All participants will be allowed an observation time of
six minutes to prepare for their climb.
The duration of the climb will be left to the Chief Route
Setter’s discrepancy and will be made known to the
participants.
3. TERMINATION OF CLIMB
A participant’s attempt will be terminated by route judge
should he/she:
a) Exceed the permitted climb time;
b) Touches or makes use of areas, holds or
features demarcated by the route setter;
c) Uses the side edges or the top edges of the wall
for climbing;
d) Once having started, touches the ground with
any part of the body;
e) Uses any artificial aid.
4. DISQUALIFICATION
Any undue delay by competitor may result in the
immediate award of Yellow Card; any further delay
shall result in his/her team’s immediate disqualification.
A participant will be disqualified if :
- late for isolation zone reporting
- fails to return to the isolation after
observing the route;
- Un-ropes while climbing
- Uses unapproved modification of
equipment
Fails to be dressed in the competition attire provided
by the organizers.
5. APPEAL
All appeals have to be made in writing within 30 minutes
after the results are displayed and an appeals panel will
handle it. A charge of $50 (cash) will be levied to
discourage abuse of this right. The money will be refunde
participant if his/her appeal is successful.
6. ATTIRE
All participants are required to wear the event T-shirt
issued on the competition day at the Competitors
Reporting Booth. Only 1 T-shirt per category registered
will be issued.
7. REPORTING ON COMPETITION DAY
All participants must report at the designated time on
the day of competition (details in competitor’s
information sheet). Participants who fail to report within
the designated time will not be allowed to join in the
competition.
Registration fees collected will not be refunded for
failure to report at the designated time or no-show by
the participant.
All participants must observe the Competition Rules.
8. PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners in the
difficulty categories
(Under 18 Boys; Under 18 Girls;
Under 15 Boys; Under 15 Girls).
9. REGISTRATION
Registration can be made in person at any SAFRA
Clubs. Payment can be made in cash, NETS, Visa or
cheque upon registration at SAFRA Clubs.
All cheques are to be made payable to “SAFRA” and
submitted with the registration forms duly filled
(Personal Particulars and indemnity).
