Third five year plan 1965-70 the plan ran into difficulties soon after it was launched because of 1965 war against India resulted in diversion of the domestic resources from development to defense. The flood of 1966-67 is also affected the plan it did not performed according to its targets set in before the implication. 1970-80
The decade of 1970 to 1980 is the most important decade of history of Pakistan. Because this decade started with the separation of West Pakistan in 1971 known as Bangladesh now a days . after this government of Zulifqar Ali Bhutto adopted the policies that turned the overall performance of Pakistan. In result of foreign policy OIC took place and Pakistan took major projects from different countries like Steel Mill from Soviet Union. Karakoram highway with help of China, and Port Qasim first port started in Bhuttos regime. But last year of decade played vital role in the history of Pakistan. Because Government of Zia-ul-Haq in 1977 supported the USA in war against Soviet Union and the policies developed by Bhuttos Government almost changed by the policies of Zia-Ul-Haqs government. 1980-90
It was the crucial era of the Pakistans economy from Soviet war and unclear Islamization point of view. Policies of Zia continued in beginning of that era. In 1980 Usher and Zakat Ordinance made and applied by Zia Government. That ordinance shaped economy from capitalism to mixed economy in which according to those scholars who had participated in developing ordinance and helped Zia government rule of Islamic economic system and capitalistic economic system was applied the country. As Zia government supported USA in war against war against Soviet Union so the foreign aid from USA and its alliance came frequently and in large number in Zia regime. In the result of that refuges from Afghanistan came into Pakistan in large number and economy hard to hold their burden and extremism and modern terrorism got born in Pakistan Zia regime. After assassination of Zia, in 1988 the Government of Benazir Bhutto started the policy of privatization, according to those policies different public sectors went into the hands of particular persons or groups and policies developed by Z.A Bhutto of nationalization changed dramatically by Benazir Bhutto. In that period foreign Aid continued and its alliances till 1990. In this decade Pakistan economy remained stable due to foreign aid not by the policies of Zia and Benazirs first Government. Important thing was that birth of extremism and Talban started in that decade and the are still big problem for Pakistan.

1990-2000
In the beginning of that decade the foreign aid decreased because of end of Soviet and new nuclear program was developed by Pakistan in 1990. As we saw from the Zia government from 1977 to 1988 the Pakistan economy remain dependant on foreign aid, and from the government of Benazir Bhutto from 1988 to 1990. Privatization started in the government of Nawaz Sharif 1990 to 993, continued privatization policies and foreign aid policies. The government of Nawaz Sharif denationalized the public enterprise because of big budget deficit the role of Pakistan loosed in the eyes of foreign donors. Nawaz sharif started different schemes to boost up economy like yellow car scheme, distribution of uncultivated land among poor farmers but all those steps did not played the vital role to boost economy. And in result Pakistan foreign debt increased day by day. Flood of 1992 also affected the economic policies. In this decade political instability was the one of root cause to disturb the economic policies. After the government of Nawaz Sharif second Government of Benazir Bhutto came into power and she followed the policies of privatization and foreign aid . After that in 1997 the second government of Nawaz Sharif came into power and he started Qarz Utaaro Mulk Sanwaro scheme to decline the foreign loan but it did not supported him well. In 1998 pakistan expertise in nuclear weapons resulted in the international sanctions against Pakistan and Pakistan faced the problems for the survival of economy. In the last year of decade 1999, Pervez Musharaf took the power and started to move economy to stable condition.
