The above standards are total scholarship values. Your best performance in cross country or track and field indicates
which level you are categorized within. Cross Country athletes aid will be split 50% from cross country and 50% from
track and field, please see the below note regarding cross country scholarships.
Cross Country athletes will also be evaluated on how well they race at invitational, regional and state meets.
Each year there are a limited number of scholarships available to recruit with. These scholarships are divided among
track and field and cross country.
We encourage you to set both your academic and athletic goals high and to work diligently to achieve those goals.
Scholarships are based on the level of your highest individual performance. Multiple events will be considered when
determining scholarships but it does not place you in multiple scholarship levels.
Attitude, work ethic, commitment, and academic performance are also key factors in deciding scholarship levels and
increases.
*Bonus Structures: top point scores from the men’s and women’s teams will also be candidates for additional
scholarship money particularly if they are in Levels 3 through 6.
*Additional bonus structure: athletes that place (Top 8) at the Gliac indoor or outdoor track and field championships
will also be candidates for additional scholarship money particularly if they are in Levels 3 through 6.
*Also note that the priority for athletic scholarships is from Level 1 with highest priority to Level 6 with the
lowest priority.
