BRIEF HISTORY: DAVID seed, produced by ConAgra foods is a brand of roasted and salted sunflower seed. David Herbidian founded the company in Fresno, California in the year 1926. He first roasted seeds and packaged them individually based on serving size and sold them for a nickel. Soon, his two sons joined in on the company and began marketing. DAVID Sunflower Seeds slogan is Eat.Spit.Be.Happy. They offer three different products: Sunflower seeds with the shell, sunflower seeds without the shell, and pumpkin seeds. Within these products they have multiple flavors. BIG IDEA: This idea has come to me every single time i travel. I love to eat sunflower seeds on road trips, but it is always hard to find a place to put the left over shells. It is hard to have your window down on the high way so i am always making little shell trash cans out of cups or bags. Ive always thought that DAVID could make more money by creating another bag design for travelors. In my design i want to create two rectangular compartments. One side will have the fresh seeds and the other side you will be able to open up the box and discard your unwanted seeds. This design will not only look good, but it will also reach out to another target group. I have had multiple times where i have not purchased sunflower seeds because it is a hastle to get rid of the seeds if i am not outside. This design will allow DAVID to reach out to more people and the profit will rise.

Style Guide
Fonts: Body Century Gothic Regular Century Gothics Bold The Body Copy in the guide will be in century gothic regular. Body copy on the product will be the same as well. This font is a light font that is easily legible. Fonts: Headers Brittanica Bold Regular Brittanica Bold Regular will be used on the headers of each page. They will be in all caps because David Sunflower seeds does the same in their advertising. That way the style guide will link up with the product.

LOGO I really liked the original logo DAVID sunflower seeds has. I think that the red white and blue color scheme is well design both in the product and the logo. They play off these colors within the logo.
