2013-14 SEASON OF CARRIAGE HOUSE CONCERT SERIES


New season features 25 performances by acclaimed performers of diverse genres Tickets go on sale to the public May 20

The exciting performers coming to Montalvo's Carriage House Theatre this season include (from top to bottom, left to right): The Official Blues Brothers Revue, The Second City, Judy Collins, The Steep Canyon Rangers, Vienna Teng, George Kahumoku, Jr., Dan Hicks, Crystal Bowersox, and Spyro Gyra.

SARATOGA, Calif. Montalvo Arts Centers extraordinary Carriage House Theatre Concert Series returns this fall with a brand new line-up of critically acclaimed performances, including shows by Judy Collins, Paula Cole, Vienna Teng, Dave Mason, Crystal Bowersox, The Steep Canyon Rangers and, back by popular demand from their sold-out shows at Montalvo in recent years past, smooth jazz sensation Spyro Gyra, Hawaiian slack key guitar master George Kahumoku Jr., and the hilarious sketch comedy troupe, The Second City. Also announced are four classical music performances by the Saint Michael Trio, Montalvos first Resident Chamber Ensemble. Concerts in the Carriage House are an unforgettable experience the intimate setting and strong acoustics make a performance in the Carriage House unlike any other live performance, said Angela McConnell, the executive director of Montalvo. There isnt a bad seat in the house. We are thrilled with this years line-up of immensely accomplished artists of such high caliber and diversity. All performances take place in the intimate 300-seat Carriage House Theatre at the Montalvo Art Center. Shows begin in November and will run through May 2014. Also by popular demand, Montalvo will continue its pre-show cocktail party series, Martini Madness! for selected shows throughout the season, featuring gourmet bites and custom cocktails provided by Caf Primavera. Martini Madness! begins at either 6:15pm or 6:45pm (depending on curtain time) in the historic Villa. Tickets are $35 per person, and must be purchased in advance.
