Lack of technical documentation (in prose and/or transport requests) Difficult to maintain and extend in a global hosting environment Multi-company code environment confusing for less advanced students No realistic description of model company Lack of integration between organizational units, processes, and curriculum material
Lessons learned
Need for flexible, extendable and realistic curriculum environment for both beginner (Intro to SAP ERP) and advanced level (TERP10 and similar advanced courses) Lean, professional hosting model to facilitate regular and easy maintenance/patching and update/upgrade for SAP University Competence Centers

Objectives
Reengineer GBI 1.0 client to facilitate two levels of teaching Beginner level (realistic single-company code enterprise with multiple master data) Advanced level (multi-company code teaching environment with single master data)* Create stable and flexible foundation for future SAP UA curricula Provide extensive background material, figures and examples to allow almost real-life business experience for students Cover more SAP ERP modules
