U14B Weather fine Track good A really good game of footy was seen at home with two undefeated teams battling it out with some excellent skills, hard running and strong tackles. Momentum swang all through the game and we kept on finding that steadying goal after a really good start. Zeb had a great first half, Youngy was strong in defence and saved the day many times while Brob was contesting hard in the forward zone. Soni was a great target up forward and deserved his bag of goals, Liam did a great job in the final qtr to read the game so well and stop their advances playing loose across half back. Chippy was lively around goal and kuol nailed a well deserved goal. As i said a top game of football against strong opposition meant control fluctuated between the teams and we used our time probably better than theirs and the difference in the end..It was a great game for us in preparing and improving for the weeks ahead starting with another undefeated side next week. Final score Wyndhamvale 12.12.84 Yarraville/seddon 10.7.67 Best Soni, Youngy, Liam, Josh, Kuol, Chippy, Brenton, Jordan, Lucas and Issy Goals Soni 6,Chippy Josh 2,kuol Bull 1

Today we were up against Werribee Districts at Soldier's Reserve in our first game in the B's, it took until round 5 to get there. The first quarter was a bit lacklustre, tackles were missed and we just needed to get in there. A few changes after quarter time saw some of our boys lift their game more, Mawot in the centre and Brad at full back. Coming back on after half time and after major changes on the field the boys picked up and really worked hard. They tackled well, set up some good plays and we finally got a point on the board. The boys were really working well together and kept Werribee's score down. During the last quarter we were unlucky not to score from a centre clearance. Brad had the back line under control for the whole game, Mawot was brilliant in the ruck and marking all over the place, Rhys tackled, ran well and disposed of the ball well and his shot for goal unfortunately hit the post. Liam P one on one, marked well when the ball was kicked to him, Tyrique ran all day and tackled hard, Codie, in his second game, was always on the ball. Cam picked up after half time, controlled his tackles and ran well, Lleyton showed alot of pace and did alot of good ground work. Rhys, Cam, Trae and Mawot worked really well as a midfield unit in the second half and Cooper, Callum, Brad and Declan along with Jake E manned up and restricted Werribee's scoring in the back line. Bailey worked well to keep the ball in the forward line. Final score Werribee 187 to Wyndhamvale 2. We have a bye next week but will be playing on Oval 2, kids vs parents. Should be a good game! Best : Marwot, Brad, Cam, Tyrique, Lleyton and Rhys

Under 10's Today we versed Old Westbourne at home. I just love watching all of you turn up to the game excited and ready to give it your all. Our first quarter saw us start off slow as we were trying to find our game against a very competitive team. Maning up again was an issue and as a result saw Old Westbourne snag some easy goals. The second quarter saw us play better footy and showed great falcon spirit for the rest of the game. You all never gave up and it was awesome to see some great team work. BUT WE MUST ALWAYS MAN UP! Best - Team effort Well Done my little superstars. Shane. Under 12s Wyndhamvale 3-3-21 defeated by Manor Lakes 7-12-54 Hi All, This week we made the very short trip to Manor Lakes, and were happy that we had finally got a bench to rotate with. The game was fast and furious for the full four qtrs, and there were about 3 Manor Lakes kids that we just couldn't stop. BUT we didn't stop trying. It was great to see some of our younger and less experienced players really step up today. Ryan, Declan, Jake R, Charlie and Rhys never gave up and their second efforts today were unbelievable, Well done boys! Today also saw our newest player Jay Nicolle work really hard all day and after persevering finally received a free kick on goal in the last qtr, sadly enough he was on an angle and slightly passed his range, but his kick ended up in our teams hands and a goal was scored. Keep up the hard work mate and that goal will be yours in the near future. Iziah, Vinny, James, Luke, Tommy and Tyler kept their running game intact all day, while Lukas worked very hard in the ruck. Lachy and Kaiden worked really well together today, between the two of them they were able to get the ball moving forward quickly. Jaimins sticky fingers went missing today, but his hard work in chasing the ball of the ground was pleasing to see. Little Dekky was tackling everyone in sight, while Josh and Arden laid the majority of the hip and shoulders. Jake S specky count has now hit double digits and every one of them has been a must to see.. Keep up the hard work boys and the wins will follow!!! Best: Jake S, Lukas, Dekky, Iziah, Tommy, Ryan Goals: Vincent, Tyler, Jake S. Well Done Boys! Charlie

Deer Park 7-4-46 def Wyndhamvale 5-4-34

Our round 6 game is Deer Park away, this will always be a hard fought out game, no real surprise then it was to be close all day. Our first 1\4 was to be a little loose all over the ground, so we were going to play catch up again for the day. A few changes here and there and our backline starting to win more of the contest saw the game played end to end for a while. We looked very good when we switched play and took the footy away from the congestion, this helped us score our goals much easier than just banging it in high and hoping. They scored a couple of easy goal late in the 3/4 so I just asked our team to give it everything in the last quarter. Every player out there gave plenty. The last quarter was to be ours, we ran over them in all areas except the scoreboard, falling short by 12 points. Well played, no one gave in at any stage, proud of you all. Our tackles were rewarded, our defenders were getting to the ball first, midfielders were still running hard and our undermanned forwards were trying to compete against bigger opponents, this is all you can ask from a group still learning. Today was a great game by the new team in the comp. We are learning all the time, looking better each time we play, and we need to remind ourselves sometimes that these other teams have a few years experience on us. Goals; Kerry 2, Alicia 1, Amanda 1, Kellee 1 Best; Corinne, Amanda, Kirra, Andy, Nicky

UNDER 16 WYNDHAMVALE V SUNSHINE A consistent four quarter team effort was what we were looking for this week after going to sleep in the third quarters of all our matches so far this year. This didnt happen this week as we took control from the start and didnt let up till the final siren. We also wanted to focus on the pressure we apply to the opposition, this we achieved by tackling and chasing every time Sunshine had possession. Its good to see our skills are improving each week. We are beginning to use the ball better by hand and foot, our voice is getting to a level we want and we are playing unselfish footy, this shows in the spread of goal kickers this week. Apart from the usual suspects (Jhosh, Mozza, Amon, Rocket & Stefan) who play consistently well for us, other players are starting to put their hands up. Paday put in a great effort for us today standing strong at full back. Jason played a great captains game controlling the ruck and picking up marks and kicks around the ground. Jacko played his best game standing strong in the back half. Coco, Boof, Shaun, Monty, Ayor and Sheldon continue to improve and will be valuable players for us in the back half of the season. We need to go up another level this week against third placed St. Bernards. REMEMBER - TEAM WORKS MAKES THE DREAM WORK. Wyndhamvale 22 - 19 - 151 Sunshine 6 - 7 - 43

Goals :- Stefan, Jhosh 5, Amon 3, Matt R. 2, Ayor, Rocket, Dani, Andy, Dom, Huss, Jack G. Best :- Stefan, Jhosh, Jason, Paday, Jacko, Monty, Amon, Mozza, Dom. Good to have our jet setting Vice Captain, Dom back this week after 5 weeks off. Thats all folks Bomber.
