OILFIELD ENGINEERING & QUALITY CONTROL

1 SCOPE It is experienced that most of the Engineers, Inspectors and supervisors, who work in the oilfields and related industries in India as well as abroad, even after having one or more years of experience in piping, welding, materials, planning, purchasing, NDT, Quality control etc., are still facing serious problems in executing their job independently. They feel some kind of training is required for them to be confident and perfect in their profession. Induscan Petroleum Institute has designed and developed the one month CRASH COURSE in Oilfield Engineering and Quality Control exclusively for oilfield construction/Quality Control professionals with minimum of one year experience. 1 COURSE CONTENT (A) Interpretation of construction drawings How to read, understand and communicate with Piping Isometric Drawings, Piping and Instrument Diagram, Pressure vessel drawings, Storage tank drawings and Structural Drawings. (B) Material Selection and Inspection The basics of material selection as per drawing, Identification, Inspection, Testing, MTO and application piping and pressure vessel materials as per Standards and specifications (C) Welding Fundamentals of welding, Welding Processes, Selection of welding Electrodes/Rods/Filler wires, WPS, PQR and Welder qualification based on applicable standards, Weld visual inspection, Inspection during Production welding, Heat treatment (PWHT). (D) Fabrication of Piping Pressure vessels and Structural Piping- Prefabrication calculations, Joint preparation, Fit up, Line routings and rolling, . Pressure Vessel - Plate Cutting calculations, Joint preparation, Plate bending, Shell and Dished end Fit up, Nozzle Orientation and dimensional

Cross Country Pipe line- Project handling as per applicable standards (E) Performance and Interpretation of NDT Training in NDT (Level II in Four Methods- RT, UT, PT&MT) Special Training in Interpretation and evaluation of Radiographs as per applicable standards (F) Project Execution and Quality Control. Total coverage of Oilfield construction project Management in Execution as well as Quality Control. 3. EXAMINATION & CERTIFICATION The course duration is 30 days which include theory and practical classes on the above contents. COURSE CERTIFICATE will be issued for successful students after final examination by Induscan Petroleum Institute. ASNT Level II examinations and certifications in Radiographic Test (RT), Ultrasonic Test (UT) Magnetic particle Test (MT) and Penetrant test (PT) for successful students will be issued by competent Level III authority. 4. REGISTRATION Application form is available from web site or can be collected in person from our office. Properly filled application form along with a copy of qualification and experience certificate shall be submitted either in person or through email. Pay the registration fee Rs 1000/- Cash or Demand Draft from any bank in favor of Induscan Petroleum Institute, payable at Nilambur. Course fee shall be paid during admission. (One day prior to class starting date)
