Hands of many
Many hands make light work. I am not sure where this saying came from but it is so true. Through the years, the number of hands that have been involved at Hospital Loma de Luz would be uncountable. Just the number of hands that are put together in prayer for the Hospital in one day is incredible! All of the hands that have labored in some way to glorify God in His work here.... well you can see where this is going. Only God can put all of this together because it is far beyond what man can do. I thank God for those many hands that have and will continue to glorify His name in the work here at the hospital. I cannot list everyone that I know gives and has given so willingly to His work, but I would like to share with you about a brother in Christ who touched me in a very special way. His name is Patrick, a young man with a heart for God, who has helped us here far more than he could have imagined. Unlike many people his age, he heard God calling him to fill a great need in the hospital ministry. He was called to work as a mechanic. How can working as a mechanic glorify God? you ask. Well, the number of cars, trucks, tractors and other equipment at the hospital in need of repair is quite overwhelming. The lack of a mechanic on site allows this need for repairs to grow very quickly. Patrick came to the hospital to help out for awhile and found we had a mountain of repairs to do. So he volunteered to come back and work as a mechanic for six months. During that time, he repaired so many mechanical things that the mountain diminished to a mole hill. He has been a huge blessing to us and we give praise to God that he was able to come. As I mentioned before, Patrick is young and has a long life of service ahead of him. His six months is now complete and he will be off to the next journey that God has for him. Would you pray for Patrick and what God has planned for him? Please also pray for whoever is next on Gods list to come and fill this need and for the many other needs here at the hospital. Peggy and I are approaching our tenth year of service here and have seen many Patricks come and go. We stand in faith that God has many more to come. He tells us to ask, so please ask with us, and pray for this Patrick to be blessed. In Gods Love.

New life in Christ

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Matthew 28:19.

Prayers & Praise

Pray for the new believers that they will stand strong. Praise for the growth in our church and the lives that have been touched. Pray for Mike & Peggys finances that they may continue as God has called. Praise for all that are faithful in supporting Gods work around the world. Pray for another mechanic to come to LDL and fill the need.

Recently, in our church, we celebrated new life in Christ for four people. The pastor of the church we attend in Balfate regularly makes an altar call and many have come to dedicate their lives to Christ, and many have reconciled as well. Because baptism is a major part of their commitment to a life with Christ, these folks asked to be baptized. Pastor spent some time with them teaching the significance of this step and they agreed to take it. We gathered at a local river below the bridge where the water is deep enough. It was a beautiful day both weather-wise and spiritually. Our church continues to grow with new believers. Praise God that they will be walking with Him and leaving their worldly lives behind. In August our church is planning a group wedding. The event will give couples a chance to marry as the Lord designed. Our pastor will counsel the couples to help them understand what God wants for them. Please pray for the Church and its growth.
