GBI Offshore T&M - May 2012 to Present Team Size: 12 Tools: Teradata, Informatica, PL/SQL Description: Global Business Intelligence group at Apple IS&T is responsible for managing all the Reporting Data Warehouses, development of new reports with changing business needs, and managing data induction, transformations base on business needs etc. Apple GBI (Global Business Intelligence) reporting enhancement project is for building reporting structure for Apple ITMS (iTunes Store) Sales, Marketing and Finance teams. The reporting is achieved by leveraging the existing Apple technology and TCS' tools. Responsibility: Analyzing the requirements and validating the ETL Mapping Specs. Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) of data by using Informatica. Extracted source data from flat files, Oracle database and loaded to an Oracle database. Developed mappings in Informatica Power Center Designer to load data from staging environment to warehouse. Created mappings using the transformations such as the Source qualifier, Look up, Aggregator, Expression, Router, Filter, Sequence Generator. Involved in Creating Sessions, Workflows Using Workflow Manager Involved in UNIT testing, Defect Analysis and fixing.
