the Peremptory Writ of Mandate ("Writ") issued by tftis courl on October 29,2012. The court directed the City to take cetlain actions rvith respect to the City's envirorulerfiaI analysis and approval of the proposed Clay Sh'eet at Main Street/Cedar Ravine Realigrulent and Clay
Street Bridge at Hangtown Creek Replacernent Project ("the Project") and to file a retuirr to

2012. As discussed below, the City has taken the actions requiled by the Writ by vacating the
decisions and actions by rvhich the City approved the Project, including the adoption of an

FACTUAL BACKGROUND

Project, the City failed to cornply rvith the provisions set forlh under the Califonria

Envirorulental Quality Act ("CEQA") (Public Resources Code section 21000, et seq.). The
case was
briefed for
Superior Court. Ori October 29,2012, the Superior Court issuecl a Perernptory \Vrit of Mandate
("\4rrit") directing the City to rescincl its prior approval of the Project and its acloption of the IS/MND and to pt'ovide the coutt rvith evidence of such actiols g'itldl
