It gives me great pleasure to introduce Mr. Krishnan Ramakrishnan as a student with great promise and devotion.

I have known him personally for the past three years of his undergraduate studies at Sairam Engineering College affiliated to the University of Madras. I have taught for over four decades and have helped approximately 550 students on independent research projects over the last twenty years. I have handled the subjects of Basic Electrical Engineering, Electrical Machines 1 and Electrical Machines 2 for him. I have also interacted with several of his lecturers and professors and have observed him closely during the 5th, 6th and 7th semesters. He rates among the toppers in his class. His average across the first six semesters of her curriculum is more than 70%. This is no mean feat considering the fact that the class average is normally around 55%. If you notice his grades, for most of the time, they have been increasing steadily from one semester to another. In fact he scored 97% in Electrical Machines Laboratory and stood first in the class. I had interacted with the faculty member who handled Electrical Machines Laboratory while I handled the theory part. I understand that he clearly established his practical application skills and numerical problem solving skills vis--vis theoretical knowledge. His focus during the lecture sessions has always been complete. I remember him raising very interesting questions in his subjects. He was particularly clarifying the practical applications. To consistently maintain good scores in his theory and practical sessions, Ramakrishnan would persevere and sometimes his persistence would turn into obstinancy. His problem solving skills can be rated comparatively far superior and so is his English proficiency. Particularly, in the subject of Electrical Machines he had demonstrated his mastery in problem solving and scientific approach. He would refer a lot of scientific journals such as Spectrum and Electronics Today. He had presented a few innovative technical papers and he never missed to attend major technical paper presentations we have had in our college premises and outside. His technical paper works were original with a lot of innovations. Even though many of them failed to win prizes, they all won great appreciation from all of us. As an active member of IEEE students chapter and the Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, his organizing capacity both individually and in a group were well pronounced. I strongly recommend admission for him in your graduate school and for any financial assistance you can offer .I am confident that he will not only continue to be a promising, competitive and sincere student but would also be capable of efficiently discharging his duties as graduate assistant. I wish him all the success for his future endeavors.
