STEADFASTNESS TO THE END 1 Cor 15:58, Phil 1:27, Rev 3:11 The need for steadfastness in following the lord and in our service to the Master cannot be over emphasized. But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations (Rev 2:25-26). Holding on to the doctrines and doing the works of evangelizing the heathen is a privilege and opportunity which must not be missed or mis-used for any reason. Many things will contend with the God-given responsibility which may make us to think that we are excused to give only the service of convenience. But God wants us to give much priority to our primary assignment and render a consistent service that will bring the unbelievers around us and in our community to God. 1. Steadfastness in service Phil 1:27; Col 4:12; Acts 26:19-23 Everyone should steadfastly occupy his position to fulfill the purpose of God in reaching the unreached and bringing them to Christ. Every individual has been called to a specific duty no matter how small or great it looks like; but the service must be carried out with all eagerness, consistency and steadfastness in order to accomplish the Godly set goals. Unnecessary comparison or relying on the effort of others and thereby relegating our own part to the background must be avoided. Besides, the barriers associated with reaching the people in our cultural set up should make every believer give adequate attention to the work in our communities. We must not give unnecessary attention to anything that will hinder us from reaching those whose ways of life are crooked and should be touched by the everlasting gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2. Surrendedness of the saints 1 Cor 15:58; 9:16; Phil 3:7-10; 1 Cor 9:19-23 In order to be able to please God in our service, there is need to surrender our life and time to serve the Lord in this present time in our communities. We should be ready to pay any price in rescuing our communities from the hands of Satan. We need to overlook and lay aside the garb of position to really team up with the brethren in total involvement in the Kingdom expansion. The gospel has to be preached at whatever costs. We must be ready to contribute our own quota to the expansion of Gods Kingdom by laying our all on the altar of sacrifice; it may seem not to be recognized, but great is our reward in Heaven for the time, energy and every other thing that have been given that we

might by all means save some. Be all things to all the people. God is looking at you for a consistent, committed and consecrated service to the society. 3. Strategic commitment to steadfast service 2 Cor 4:8-10; 12:15, 10; 1 Cor 9:16-18; Acts 16:20; 17:6; Neh 6:1-4,9-12 The need for commitment to the work cannot be underestimated in the face of the challenges that are confronting gospel workers. Our commitment is strategic as failure on our part will constitute a great hazard in the society at large. No success can be achieved in any endeavour if done in an average way . Have you given your best to the master? How committed are you? Can He depend on you for the expansion of His Kingdom?
