General Issues

Is the provision of anti-skid surfacing at conflict points and bends adequate? Is there obstruction of forward visibility or sight lines by street furniture, signs, lamps columns, etc.? Is the provision of guardrails appropriate? Is high visibility guardrail necessary? Is the speed limit adequate for the road layout? Is the side slope adequate for the speed limit? Are there a CHEVRON signs posted on the sharp bend? Is there an advance warning sign at proper distance? Do the road users adhere to the posted speed limits? Are there locations of animal crossing? Are culverts protected by the guardrails? Are guardrail protection endings skewed or straight? Is the road layout encouraging greater speeds on the road? What is the width of the asphalt shoulder?
