Testimonials
I have been inspired by Lisa. Her energy is strong and compassionate, what she brings to the mat is truly a gift. Because of Lisa, yoga has become a part of my life, something I take wherever I go. Lisa creates such balance in her classes both physical and mental. She challenges us to explore our bodies, open our hearts and lift the spirit. I have great respect for Lisa as a teacher and now a friend. Namaste, Julie Kohlmeier I was introduced to Lisa as the instructor of my first yoga class. While I was initially intimidated by the other participants, Lisa quickly put me at ease through her calming influence and encouragement. Ive been studying with Lisa for over a year and, with Lisas guidance, developed the techniques to truly embrace my practice. Ive experienced the relaxed and renewed feeling of well -being that comes from a simple discipline of breathing, stretching and pose. Lisa is a patient teacher. She truly defines and embodies the elements of the physical, mental and spiritual and I look forward to continuing my journey with Lisa towards inner peace. Namaste, Deb Watson
YOGA CLASSES
Vinyasa Flow, Hatha & Power
Vinyasa Flow: Power: Power yoga is a general term used in the West to describe a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa yoga. This style of practice closely models Ashtanga Yoga. Unlike Ashtanga, power yoga does not follow a set series of poses, so classes can vary widely. Classes involve strength and movement.
Vinyasa means breath synchronized movement. Each class will have a unique flow designed to incorporate the elements to bring awareness to certain areas of the body. The classes will have salutations and all have a theme designed to inspire the mind, strengthen the body, develop flexibility and challenge the student to find their own personal edge. All classes will be open to each and every student unless highlighted on the scheduled that it is geared to a specific level. Some of Inner Dawns Vinyasa Classes are: Rooted Warrior (Earth, Balance, Grounding, Stabilizing-Legs, Feet Low back) Go with the Flow Yo (Water, Fluidity, Creativity, Hips and Sacral area)
Hatha: Hatha is one of the Eight Limbs of Yoga. It is all forms of yoga including vinyasa and power. It is the physical aspect of a yoga practice. These days, hatha is most often used to describe gentle, basic classes with no flow between poses. Inner Dawn Yogas Hatha classes will be slow-paced stretching, with some simple breathing exercises and perhaps seated meditation. This is a good place to learn for beginners and become comfortable with yoga. Some of Inner Dawns Hatha Classes are: Stretch and Restore (A gentle stretch and relaxing practice with restorative postures, also good for students with injuries) Senior Yoga (A gentle stretch and strength class for seniors) Beginner Yoga
Inner Fire Flow (Fire, Energizing, Detoxifying, Core) Let Love Rule (Air, Heart, Chest, Shoulders, Back, Joy, Happiness) Flow and Flight (Air, Arm Balances, Inversions, Upper Body Strength and Core) Chakra Flow (A practice designed for the energy centers) Pre-Natal (A practice for expecting mothers)
