and the Miracle of Five Loaves and Two Fish Sunday Mass 26th May 2013 Does a Christian God Exist? What is The Holy Trinity? Say, Todays Gospel Reading from John 16:12-15 - [Whatever the Father has is mine. The Spirit will receive what I give and tell you about it.] - is quite meaningless when you do not read the rest of John chapter 16. Note in particular John 16:27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and believed that I came forth from God When you read this in the context of what he said earlier in John 15:12 This is My commandment that you love one another as I have loved you, and note the standard of love Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down ones life for his friends. [John 15:13]; he was talking about all of us [as spirit sons of God] being one in the spirit with Him and the Spirit Father the Holy Trinity. So there is no external God as such as humans believe. The God that is the Spirit Father is beyond seeking by the human, by a mortal being or by matter or form. The Spirit Father cannot be sought in form or human visage or sight or worldly thought. He is in us [as spirit sons of God] and we are in Him and in Christ. There is no separation of dualism! In that sense God as the Spirit Father is not a faith or a religion. We are already in eternity or eternity is already in us; just that we are lost or entangled in our false alter ego and clinging to our false alter ego and for fear of death is afraid that we might lose our false alter ego; as if that is all we are and all we have to cling to. The falsehood is that even when we seek salvation in heaven we seek it in this false self ego form! How ridiculous? Strange but true! This is what todays Gospel Reading is all about. Do not let the priest tell you otherwise. Trust me instead. This is the secret message in John 16:7 in which Jesus said Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper [the Spirit of truth+ will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. Now read this as applying to you as son of man [assuming that you do not have anymore karmic residue from all the reaping and sowing from past existences going up and down Jacobs Ladder] as distinct from Jesus as Son of Man, and treat it as Jesus asking you to follow him in what he does. Your worldly death will allow your spirit son of God to come forth or stop being a Prodigal Son! This is what Jesus is saying and confirming at the end of the chapter in John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. Substitute your son of God spirit for Jesus as Spirit Son of God. In your spirit son of God you may have peace. In your mortal son of man you will have tribulation. Be of good cheer, your [eternal] spirit son of God will conquer the world [of the mortal son of man]. Please pay careful attention to what Jesus said In the world you will have tribulation In short, Jesus is saying Life is suffering. Life is filled with great karmic afflictions. Read the Parable of the Sower that you reap what you sow, again and again. It is the 2nd most important Parable after the Parable of the Lost Prodigal Son. Read the Book of Job. Understand Jobs karmic afflictions. Also understand the significance of Jacobs Dream. Understand Jacobs Ladder. Understand that when you still have karmic residue, thereby the unclean spirit [not having being completely cleansed of karmic consequences] will rebirth going up and down Jacobs Ladder endlessly with its seven more wicked companions *the five

senses, the worldly mind and the worldly consciousness the worldly alter ego]. Refresh yourself on what I wrote in reply to your response on the Alan Parsons matter, when you said that you want to be a better goat. Who do you think the goat is? The goat is the unclean spirit *not having being completely cleansed of karmic consequences+ that will rebirth going up and down Jacobs Ladder endlessly with its seven more wicked companions [the five senses, the worldly mind and the worldly consciousness the worldly alter ego]. Say, I would not bother discoursing on the Jesus Parables to anyone, if I can help it. I rather teach Zen. But you are my twin and I see you trapped in the untruths from worldly knowledge and worldly wisdom in the reading and the interpretation of the Bible. The worst misinterpretation or misconception is that of the billions of dead bodies waiting to rise up on Judgement Day. Tell me where are these billions of graves? Jesus spoke in Parables because he was preaching to the spirit sons of God, the sheep. If you do not trust me as your twin, I am prepared to spend a Socratic retreat thrashing it out with Father Simon and Father Aloysius, or even Pope Francis for the matter. This reminds me that I was going to mention that it looks like the 1st Jesuit Catholic Pope might start moving things towards Jesuit Theology. The Pope Francis I has announced that good atheists and other non-Christians can go to heaven. Of course this is true! In our son of man personam, in different human races and nationalities, different languages and cultures and professing different religions, we are goats. The Spirit Father in Heaven seeks His lost spirit children that are in all of us, whatever the attire *atheist, Moslem, Hindu or Christian etc+ of our entrapment as goats. The unconditional love of a Spirit Father for his children and a spirit sons filial love for his Spirit Father is not human love of oneself as that would be egoistic and idolatry and a blasphemy or for another that is sexual, sensual and possessive. Filial love of a son has nothing to do with faith in ones father. That is what is wrong with treating Christianity as a religion. We must still have spiritual or divine love in our father no matter how much we might lose faith in the qualities or our expectations of our father; whether he is poor, sick, stupid or useless, in whatever worldly sense, as we perceive our father as or to be in our human self or as a goat. As a meek sheep, like a child, we accept his fatherly grace. That is the true Amazing Grace; when we understand the grace that we have a father at all! I often wonder whether it is easier to be Christian if you understand Chinese culture and philosophy and stop thinking like a white man. Spiritual love of the Spirit Father and our spiritual filial love as a dutiful son is the Spiritual or Divine Love that is encapsulated in the Holy Trinity. You are a Christian only if you participate, in a Chinese family sense, in this Divine Love of the Holy Trinity. It is not faith alone as some Christians would have you believe; it is surrendering in filial piety to this Holy Trinity that makes a spiritual family, so that we bring glory and honour and not shame to the family of the Holy Trinity. How can people who do not know what the difference is between shame and honour, participate in the Divine Love of the Holy Trinity? You are a goat if you are egoistic, proud and arrogant and self-conceited. You are immediately a sheep when you cast off the goats clothing, stop being the Prodigal Son, and rejoin the family as a filial

son and are embroiled in the family of the Holy Trinity. There is no God; there is just the family of the Holy Trinity! Please note that when we speak metaphorically or allegorically of sheep and goats, as expediently means of practice or understanding, we are not dealing with physical states but with metaphysical states. It is about the intrinsic values that the perceived self should have - whether to be selfish *goat+ or to be selfless *sheep+. To talk like Alan Parsons of a No-Self and of just beingness is just nonsensical. Where would he end? By defining Self as No No-Self? That is why his beingness per se is nonsensical when he does not extricate one from the world that we are being! When you are in your worldly self and you are actually feeling or experiencing suffering and despair; for someone to tell you to just ignore suffering and despair and just be; is like telling someone who is having sexual intercourse in his dream and about to ejaculate to stop dreaming; or someone having a nightmare wherein his head is about to be chopped off by a machete that there is nothing to fear and sweat. To extricate your sheep from the goat in you has to be resolved in the abstract in the metaphysical realm. Let me illustrate by example. In the scenario I presented, you have to be awakened from your dream or nightmare first and after that to cultivate gradual practice, anti-stress or proper diet to sleep soundly. Spiritual awakening and gradual practice are similar. Someone or something has to give you a sudden awakening. Spiritual gradual practice requires you to understand the workings of the Immutable Law of You Reap what You Sow. Timing of awakening is of course important. In the 1st example you might not appreciate not reaching an orgasm. In the 2nd example you would be most grateful being saved from an execution. Spiritually, it might not be ideal to suddenly awaken a youth; but an old man would appreciate it when he is caught in the nightmare of impending death. You and I are certainly in the latter category. Shedding of the goat attire is just like Sudden Awakening and Gradual Practice. It is simple metaphysically; yet so very difficult in a worldly sense. Sunday Mass 2nd June 2013 Five Loaves Two Fish Say, Todays Gospel Reading is from Luke 9:11-17 and is the popular story of the Miracle of the Five Loaves of Bread and Two Fish.

You often scoff and snigger at my Zen practice. Today I will illustrate how Zen spiritual insight can explain the spiritual meaning of this miracle far beyond anything you have previously read written by Biblical Scholars and Christian preachers alike. Before I begin I like to elaborate more on my comment in last weeks discourse on the Holy Trinity, wherein I said There is no God; there is just the family of the Holy Trinity! This is because if we do not get rid of treating Christianity as a worldly religion or the worldly concept of a monotheistic God we will not understand Christ-Consciousness, or in colloquial terms about goats and sheep and what Jesus said about Judgment Day in Matthew 25:32-33 regarding separating the sheep from the goats. I reiterate what I said last week Please pay careful attention to what Jesus said In the world you will have tribulation In short, Jesus is saying Life is suffering. Life is filled with great karmic afflictions. Read the Parable of the Sower that you reap what you sow, again and again. It is the 2nd most important Parable after the Parable of the Lost Prodigal Son. Read the Book of Job. Understand Jobs karmic afflictions. Also understand the significance of Jacobs Dream. Understand Jacobs Ladder. Understand that when you still have karmic residue, thereby the unclean spirit *not having being completely cleansed of karmic consequences+ will rebirth going up and down Jacobs Ladder endlessly with its seven more wicked companions [the five senses, the worldly mind and the worldly consciousness the worldly alter ego]. [Matthew 12:43-45]. Refresh yourself on what I wrote in reply to your response on the Alan Parsons matter, when you said that you want to be a better goat. Who do you think the goat is? The goat is the unclean spirit *not having being completely cleansed of karmic consequences+ that will rebirth going up and down Jacobs Ladder endlessly with its seven more wicked companions [the five senses, the worldly mind and the worldly consciousness the worldly alter ego+. In Zen terms we say that Enlightenment is about ending the affliction of suffering. This is usually delineated as managing (1) desire [craving, clinging and attachment] sort of affliction of the ego of I (2) anger sort of angry with people and things and situations and even God when they do not meet our expectations and requirements (3) ignorance sort of delusion that worldly mortal life is real when spiritually it is unreal since it is not eternal. In Zen terms again spiritual practice (as distinct from religious practice as Buddhism is not a religion) is summed in three components (A) Morality dealing with the management of (1) Desire and (2) anger that we have just discussed (B) Meditation which deals with the method and procedure of spiritual management and (C) Wisdom which deals with the spiritual insight or wisdom required to see through the delusion mentioned in (3) ignorance above. Due to delusion the worldly son of man, the son of Adam, having made an idol of himself, in his false worldly self-ego, but faced with his mortality, conceived the idea of a greater God than himself to grant him immortality of his son of man. The spiritually wise will see straight away that this is already the basis of a falsehood. But how can the delusional be wise? Let us therefore argue the point through Socratic reasoning. There is no God as this would be incongruent and nonsensical when we apply the test of the Immutable Law of You Reap what You Sow. In simple cause and effect terms, if you make your bed you sleep in it. If you give in to desire you face the consequences. If you have a delusional mind you have to accept the consequences.

So, would you trust a God that says - You obey my law but I am exempt from it. Would you trust a God that exempts himself from the Parable of the Sower? It is right for God to expect you to be good but he can do evil? So, if God says that you must not kill; that you must love your enemies that you must not judge; how can anyone kill in the name of God and for Christianity or any other religion, and expect to be exempt from the Immutable Law of You Reap what You Sow? The Popes and the priests and Kings who killed in the name of God in the colonisation of indigenous lands abroad in Asia and the Americas, or of innocent Protestants and others in the Inquisition and other religious campaigns, including the Crusades, and in fact anyone, Christians or non-Christians alike whatever your race, religion or creed ALL must answer to the Immutable Law of You Reap what You Sow. There are many figurative rungs on the proverbial Jacobs Ladder. Imagine the various the figurative states of hell at the lower rungs? Some of us do not have to imagine. We have been through tribulation and suffering of Hell and back. For when you have reached the very bottom of the pit of despair, all you have left is hope, the light at the top of the pitch black tunnel; hope that there will no longer be any retribution of karmic residue. That is why metaphorically speaking, a rich man who has not known despair, who thinks he is already in heaven in the mortality of human existence of a goat, who knows not the suffering and affliction of Parable of the Sower or of Jacobs Ladder, that what goes around comes around, will have the chance of salvation, of extricating himself from Jacobs Ladder, equivalent to a camel going through the eye of a needle. Without the delusion of I the false self-ego in the son of Adam there would be no karma of reaping and sowing. The delusion is evident in the mortality of the I and the resulting karmic consequence in the continuing cycles of existence up and down Jacobs Ladder, from the karmic volitions of sowing and reaping. Without the delusion of I, there will be no God; as there will be no Separation from God as in the Fall of Adam and the Original Sin *flowery descriptions of the Delusion of the worldly false selfego of the son of man]. Before the delusion there was just the Oneness of the Father and Sons in the Spirit. Ask yourself this what was [the 1st] Adam before the Fall of Adam, before the son of Adam? The falseness of this God is further evident in the image of this God in the worldly mortal image of son of Adam. This is because in his delusion the son of Adam *goat+ thinks that he is created by God. But the son of Adam *goat+ is not the creation of God nor is he the son of God *as distinct from the sheep in the spirit son of God]. Otherwise the son of Adam would not be a mere mortal. If son of Adam is mortal then his conception of God is also flawed and not eternal, like all other mortal devices. God as the Spirit Father as Jesus calls him is eternal and so his scions must also be spirit and eternal! If we are both in our being (a) the eternal spirit son of God *sheep+ and (b) the mortal son of Adam *goat+ then the goat must be the proverbial Original Sin of the Separation of the spirit son *1st Adam] from the Spirit Father. In the same sense Jesus was the (a) Son of Man [incarnation as a man] and (b) 2nd Adam and Son of God. So, there is no God in a worldly false self-ego son of man *goat+ sense of a monotheistic God. For there is no God that is separate from I! That is, the God that an I of a false self ego of a goat has is

not really God! For the absoluteness of eternity has no room for the dualism of a mortal world. When there is dualism there is separation of I and God, of subject and object and of birth and death. There is no birth and death in Eternity! That is why our Christian God is the Holy Trinity. That is why we Jesuits say that conceptually in a spiritual sense; we See God in Everything and See Everything in God. That is God should be spiritually perceived as us in him and him in us, jointly and severally, the Father and the Sons in the Holy Spirit. God-Consciousness and Christ-Consciousness and our spiritconsciousness are all one in the Holy Spirit Consciousness. This Holy Spirit Consciousness is outside the karmic realm of the Jacobs Ladder; for the latter is in a temporal mortal world of dualism. In the Absolute Unity of Oneness in the Holy Spirit Consciousness, there is no dualism; there is no separation of I and God; and this is what the Two Commandments of Jesus *Matthew 22:37-40] are about in your spirit - (1) You shall love your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind (2) You shall love your neighbour as yourself i.e. we are all ONE in the Holy Trinity. In Zen terms we call this the Huayen [Flower Adornment or Avatamsaka] Doctrine. It is also referred to metaphorically as the Brahma Jewelled Net or Indras Jewel Net. In our spirit consciousness (despite the diversity in the individual projection of our dreaming) we are all equal and intertwined or interwoven or interconnected or inter-correlated or interdependently jointly and severally hot-wired like a kaleidoscope hologram such that whatever affects one jewel equally affects all jewels instantly. A reflection (of a dream) in one jewel is simultaneously reflected or simulcast without volition without mitigation universally across the Brahma Jewelled Net. The cosmic consciousness that this hologram represents, like a kaleidoscope, changes in its floral adornment instantaneously but yet the oneness of the spiritual essence is eternally constant. Only the reflection of the kaleidoscopic imagery of the hologram for that very instant changes and is gone. In a multi-dimensional multifaceted sense even this instantaneous kaleidoscopic imagery takes on an apparently different visage viewed at a different angle and yet it is still the same kaleidoscopic imagery. No one can imagine the full glory of the Holy Trinity or the Brahma Jewelled Net! Now to todays Gospel Reading. First get rid of the misleading impression or thought that Jesus had a duty or responsibility to feed or cater for five thousand strong throng of a crowd! You feed the priest and not the priest feed you! In biblical times people were frugal and self-reliant and self-sufficient as well as hospitable as Good Samaritans. There were no shops other than at market places in the centre of towns. Certainly not in the countryside or a deserted place near Bethsaida, where the crowds were gathered. Pause and in this Miracle of the Five Loaves of Bread and Two Fish stop seeing Jesus as the Son of Man, stop seeing the miracle with worldly eyes or thinking about it with a worldly mind. There was no miracle! See it in spiritual terms of Thanksgiving in the ancient traditional way of breaking bread; of communion, just like the Last Supper, just like Sunday Communion; of being together in the spirit; of being all ONE in the Holy Trinity. Christianity is spiritual communism! When Jesus said for us not too worry or that God will provide he was not talking in worldly terms but in spiritual terms. God is not of this world, for Jesus said so [refer John 17]. God the Spirit Father can only provide spiritually to and for his spirit children, the sheep. As worldly goats, as sons of man, we have to provide for ourselves. If

you do not work to live, to support yourself and your family, you will die; remember that we reap what we sow! If we give of ourselves and share with one another, there will be more than enough to go around; and there will be ample left over. Let me explain. Spiritually, when we share communally, when we share our burdens and our happiness, the burden becomes lighter and the happiness becomes lighter *i.e. happier]! That is what thanksgiving is about. Thankful that we have parents, family, friends and benefactors; thankful that we are not alone in this world of tribulation; that as a twin I have you and you have me; that we can live to fight another day; thankful that the Immutable Law of You Reap what You Sow allow us to redeem ourselves; to make amends for past wrongs and mistakes, to seek forgiveness for our trespasses, to forgive those who trespass against us, to seek rehabilitation, to turn over a new leaf; that spiritually lost we can be reborn in the spirit to be found as sheep *that we really are+ by the Good Shepherd; that when we die we will in fact live on eternally [no more rebirths no more deaths] in the spirit (assuming of course that we can clear all our karmic residue and get off Jacobs Ladder); and most of all thankful when we are share in communion that we will find that when we share that we will have enough to share and pass around and that in fact there will be more than ample enough left over. When we are sheep selfless in the spirit *and are not selfish goats like sons of Adam+ God does indeed provide; but that is because the Christian God is not separate from us but absolute and immutable when we are all jointly and severally ONE in the Holy Trinity, Father and Sons in the Spirit; when God is in Everything and Everything is in God. For united as one we stand in eternity and divided we fall into mortality. Guess why there is no plural spelling for sheep? Today was the Feast of Corpus Christi, and so there was an explanation given that the breaking of the bread here by Jesus was like a holy communion like in the Last Supper. Take heed that such a form of explanation is only as expedient means for those who have to develop and have a faith as in a religion. If you come by way of spiritual filial piety this is nonsensical. There is no physical transfiguration or transubstantiation of the bread to the body of Christ. There is no physical transformation. The bread is just bread! If you are baptised in the spirit, reborn in the spirit, if you are sheep and not goat, there is in the communion of sharing of breaking bread and drinking wine, the spiritual awakening, the spiritual rebirth of the body (bread) of God and his Spirit (wine) Father in us, his spirit children (sheep), in the Holy Trinity with him.
