King Louis XVI had a few economic problems from his ancestors, which made living in France hard. A few times France almost went bankrupt ,getting fancy things for the rich, so then he made the tax rates higher and took most of the peasants money leaving them poor. Another thing is King Louis never did anything to help the peasants, oh no, he just made their lives a misery. When the Revolution came I bet he was wondering why it had started and what the peasants and the revolutionaries were so angry about. Thats how little he knew about what his leading was doing to his countries citizens.

The Storming of the Bastille

The storming of the Bastille happened on the morning of july 14, 1789. The Fortress and prison known as the Bastille, represented royal leadership in paris. The fall of the Bastille was the flashpoint of the French Revolution. The Storming of the Bastille was the third event of this opening stage of the Revolution. The commoners had became the National Guard , showing tricoloured cockades (rosettes-roses of ribbons) made of blue, red and white made by combining the red and blue cockades of Paris and the white cockade of the King. These cockades, and
