Organizations and community service

OXFAM America Change leader (2006-2007.)

OXFAM America is a nonprofit organization dedicated to end injustice and poverty in developing countries. I was
one of 50 students selected from all over the country, to attend the change initiative program. CHANGE Initiative
exposes students to the international development issues that direct Oxfam's work. CHANGE Leaders use their
skills and insight to run Oxfam campaigns on their campuses and in their local communities. I started the Human
Rights and Fair-trade club on Campus, to direct some of OXFAM America’s campaigns such as The Make Trade
Fair Campaign. I have worked on tour with Oxfam America, Coldplay, and Missy Higgins. Both artists are
working with OXFAM America to build awareness about the hunger and poverty crisis in over 150 countries.

OXFAM America Change Facilitator for the North- west region(summer 2008) I worked as a lead
facilitator for the 2008-2009 change leaders in the North West region. I attended an intensive week of
 leadership training on being an effective CHANGE advocate. I worked with Oxfam America’s Outreach
staff to prepare change leaders with campaign strategies for their yearlong commitment to change.

Awards

Won the Robins Award for achievement of the year (2009) The Robins Awards are among the highest honors
awarded at Utah State University. The achievement of the year award goes to students that have brought recognition
to the University on a state, national or international level
