MUSICAL THEATER CLASS


(For Grades 1-up)
Been Bit By The Acting Bug? Join us after school and shine on stage performing scenes and songs from the most beloved musicals & movies of our time! This class has something for everyone, first timers and advancing performers alike. Discover the joys of acting, improve, voice and speech, theater games, choreography and dance! Develop self-confidence and team spirit. *During our last class of each session parents and friends are invited to a special workshop presentation. The performance is our culmination, but its the process the students go through and the skills they take away with them that are the most important elements.

SINGERS SHOWCASE
(For Grades 1-up)
Want to be the next American Idol? This fun and exciting vocal training workshop will start you on your way. Students will focus on vocal warm-ups, proper breathing technique, pitch, control and phrasing for singers. Emphasis will be placed on fun, showmanship, and contemporary music that everyone can enjoy while working on singing techniques to last a lifetime. Want to be on Broadway? Youll learn how here! This class is tailored for the beginner to intermediate student and will culminate in a class recital each term.

KINDERGARTEN ACTING / FAIRY TALE THEATER & MOVEMENT (For Ages 3-5)
A fun and energetic class were children will learn to present individual characters while acting out their favorite fairy tales, explore creative movement with music, pantomime, theater games, vocal projection and more! This unique process will encourage shy children to come out of their shells and lead outgoing children to the next level of self-expression. This non-competitive, nurturing and innovative program is an excellent tool for parents to utilize while adjusting their kindergartner to the new world of elementary school.

GUITAR JAM
(For Grades 1-up)
Be A Real Guitar Hero! Do you have rock and roll dreams? Heres your chance to learn how to play a real acoustic guitar! Whether youve ever picked up a guitar or if you already have skills, our group guitar workshop is the ideal setting for both beginning to intermediate students. Students will learn the basics of chords, tabs, picking, strumming, and music theory the first steps into the musical journey of a lifetime. As the students progress, they will learn the finer points to gain mastery of their instrument. Parents will be invited to an informal jam session at the end of the term to see what their children have learned. Students must provide their own acoustic guitar.

DANCE REVOLUTION

(For Grades K-up)

Step up and dance! At last, a class where you get to do it all Hip Hop, Jazz and Lyrical! By teaching the most popular and artistic dance styles found in todays culture, this class will integrate an appreciation of all styles of technique and movement. With special focus on choreography, this class is ideal for beginning and intermediate students and will be especially exciting to children who love to perform. Our dancers will work as a team to showcase their talent in a class Presentation.

KARATE

(For Grades K-up)

This course will focus on self-defense, self-discipline and philosophy in the Martial Arts. Students will learn the basics, combination techniques and street safety including how to recognize dangerous situations and how to avoid them. This class is designed for both beginning and intermediate students. Our class applies fun, healthy and educational techniques while our students become more self-confident, physically fit and street safe. Twice a year (Fall & Spring) our students will participate in a Karate Demonstration and Belt Ceremony.

COMEDY IMPROV

(For Grades 1-up)

Make em laugh! This class focuses on the fun and exciting world of sketch comedy! Using ageappropriate material and concepts, students will make each other laugh while learning the techniques andtools of comic improvisation. Curriculum will include stage presence, vocal projection, movement for actors, improvisation, how to tell a joke and the craft of physical comedy. This unique process will help to improve the students public speaking abilities, social skills, and self-esteem. At the end of each school term our young comics will invite their family & friends to enjoy a special class comedy club set.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Be the master of your social media world! Learn the art of making pictures! Give life to your artistic vision through digital photography. Learn fundamentals such as composition, light & shadow, exposure, depth of field and apply these concepts to different genres of shooting including landscape, still life, portrait and candid shots. Our Jr. Photographers will utilize the full school space taking interior and exterior shots while playing a group round of shutterbug scavenger hunt! Each week students will select photos from their collected work to print at home that will be included in a notebook style portfolio to enjoy for years to come. Students must provide their own Digital Camera.
