The two year full time MMS programme is made up of 4 semesters. The first year comprises of 2 semesters wherein the first semester is designed for understanding the basic principles of business. The second semester emphasizes on core as well as special subjects. The aim is to give an insight into the different branches of management. After the completion of the first year, students have to undertake two months summer internship with any organization and complete a live project. The summer internship is a wonderful opportunity to merge academic concepts with live practical situations. The second year branches out into five specializations, namely; finance, marketing, operations, personnel & systems. Each of the specialisation offers a thorough grinding in the respective functional operations. INDUCTION PROGRAMME AT RIZVI BSCHOOL: The induction week was the gateway into MBA journey - an intense journey that I am will positively transform me personally and career-wise. On the first day, all were quickly exposed to a diverse community of staff and students in my cohort. In addition, right from the registration session over coffee in the morning, to the "meet and greet" evening reception, we were presented

with ample opportunity to interact with the very friendly and tirelessly supportive staff of the business school. The induction week was rigorous. However, it provided a balanced blend of lectures (effectively delivered by seasoned professors) This was one of the highlights of the induction. We engaged in team-building and personal development group sessions using industry-standard concepts. This proved to be a rich learning experience and an opportunity to hone skills for effective management and leadership - which I have been able to immediately apply in the workplace. HOW INDUCTION WILL START: On your first day, you should arrive at college by 9.00 in the morning. Your host family will have shown you how to get to the college.There will be a welcome talk and tour of the college for you and your fellow new students. Youll have lots of opportunity to meet theother students who will soon be your new friends, as well as your teachers and the other staff who are here to support you. You will complete a short test so that we can place you in the appropriate class for your ability, if you are studying an English course. Here's a sample timetable of a typical first day. TO REMIND THIS COURSE THAT WILL BENEFIT THEM IN FUTURE: Although the majority of students choose their programme because of the reputation of the programme or institution, a significant number will make the decision due to factors such as reputation of the city,because friends or family went to that institution or even for no particular reason. Students entering through clearing may be a particular problem group

as their decision-making appears to be even less rational and thought through. Similarly, those who hadnt actively chosen a particular course, but just wanted to go to university/ leave home were significantly less likely to progress Feedback from students makes it clear that they arent particularly interested in the details of careers and planning for their future, but they do want some inspiration about how the course would benefit them in the future. It is therefore recommended that all students are encouraged to think about the benefits of the programme during their first few weeks.
