Exercise 3: After learning the coordinate systems and methods to draw, draw the same figures
given in exercise-2 using the below methods

Direct Distance method (for figures which do not have inclined lines) Absolute coordinate methods method (Draw the figure in your notes and mark absolute (x, y) coordinates and then draw all the figures given in exercice-2. Use relative polar coordinate system (@ length < Angle) and draw all the figures in Ex-2 Use relative absolute coordinate method and draw all the figures in the same sheet.
Exercise 4: After completing practice on coordinate systems and methods to draw, use
combinations of any method and draw the below figures, by setting the limits accordingly. Ex: If the figure is of size 3 x 2, limits may be set to 5,5. If it is 3000, 2000, the limits may be set to little higher than that.

FIG-TTR Practice 1) Draw a circle by picking any point as center and by feeding some diameter. 2) Set Limits to 100, 100. Draw a circle with center 50,50 Diameter 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 5 circles. 3) Draw Figure C2P3P (A circle with 2 points option, B circle with 3 points option) 4) Draw FIG-TTR Set limits to 400,450, Draw Circle A with center @ 100,100Radius 50, Circle B with center @ 300,100- Radius 50, Then draw 1 thru 4 with TTR Option radii varying from 50 to 125 @ increment of 25. 5) Set limits to 400,450, Draw circle-1 with center point 100,100-Radius 50, Draw circle-2 with center point 300,100-Radius 50, Draw another Circle with center 200, 300 and Radius-50. Now you would get 3 circles in a triangular fashion. NOW Draw a circle with TTT option. You would get a circle amidst all the previous 3 circles.

Draw a rectangle for reference and practice all the options for drawing an arc as shown below. While drawing the below arcs, the start point are taken as the corners of the rectangle and the center point is taken at the intersection point of lines passing thru mid points of sides of the rectangle. To identify this, use OTRACK utility.

Please see the below arrangement of single 3-seater table and chairs arrangement and mark the dimensions of the room. Please note that the bottom right corner is filleted.
NOTES HOW TO DRAW? Table width may be 2 feet. Width may be 3 feet per person. Table to table clear distance could be 3 feet. Front table to wall distance could be 10feet. Last table to wall could be 5 feet. The walking space between tables could be 4 feet. Door width could be 4 feet. Keep only the side door at bottom left and do not draw any doors in front of the classroom. You may leave that space (wall) to facilitate the marker pen board.

The software is ADT- Architectural Desktop, which sits on top of AutoCAD. So, to make the above figures properly / easily and to make such 3D figures, the right software is ADT. If you wish to have more a 3D parametric architectural building modeling software, it is Rivet, If you wish to have photo realistic rendering, animations and walkthrough, the software is 3Dstudio Viz. So, Do not try to make AutoCAD behave and deliver like ADT, Rivet or 3D Studio. AutoCAD, ADT, Rivet, 3Dstudio Viz. ---- all software are from Autodesk Inc, USA.

Who Should Attend
All experienced AutoCAD users who can benefit from the use of AutoCAD s 3D features. (Make sure whether you have taken AutoCAD-3D Modeling Course, before going ahead from here)
In This session, the Civil Engineer or Architect would learn Mechanical oriented drawings majorly and a building at the end and for making 3D Modeling of Building easily, Architectural Desktop is recommended.
Summary
AutoCAD s three-dimensional drawing capabilities make it a practical modeling program for a variety of applications and disciplines. Yet learning to work in 3D on a 2D-display device is a major challenge. This course is designed to introduce users who are proficient with AutoCAD s 2D commands to the tools available for modeling in three dimensions. The class will start with 3D fundamentals, introduce surface creation, and solids modeling.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, attendees will be familiar with the 3D capabilities of AutoCAD, and will know how to create, modify, and display 3D drawings. For maximum benefit, each attendee should be provided with practice time during the two weeks following this class. Given 20 hours of post-class practice and review, A student should be able to use AutoCAD to create and update 3D drawings.
Prerequisites
AutoCAD Fundamentals or equivalent skill level. A minimum of 40 hours of experience working with AutoCAD-2D is recommended.

Various Tasks Involved
1. Draw 5 x 4 room 2. Make 0.23 m offset and make walls, trim them neatly. 3. Make a door opening (front side) width 1m and trim accordingly 4. Make a window opening (front side) some width. 5. Make a window opening (right side) some width. 6. Make a slab covering the room with 0.6m offset (extension to the walls) 7. Make a portico as shown with 2 circular columns on the far side to bldg. 8. Convert walls to walls layer, Doors to doors layer, windows to windows layer, slab-toslab layer, and portico-to-portico layer. 9. Draw 2 lines representing the wall over the door, make its elevation 2m and thickness 1m. 10. Draw Sunshade rectangle as pline around the windows and make their elevation as 2m and thickness as 0.1m 11. Draw 3dface to cover this sunshade top keeping elevation 2.1m 12. Make walls thickness as 3m 13. Change Window lines elevation as 1m and thickness as 1m. 14. Change slab elevation to 3m and thickness 0.1m 15. Make 3Dface and cover the slab top 16. Erase the wall and make 3 trapezium faces to accommodate a hole for the window. Do this at front side and also for the right side window. 17. Draw a line at an elevation 2m, thickness 1m at the mid of the window representing the window panel. 18. Make parapet wall with pline of thickness 0.6m 19. Make small wall on the portico with pline of thickness 0.2m. 20. Keep the front view and make use of array command and select all and remove the portico and 2 columns and array as many floors you wish. 21. Use diff colors for diff entities. 22. Get the perspective views. 23. Get various views using 4 view ports in AutoCAD.
