BIDS ARE INVITED FOR: PROVISION OF WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES OF HAZARDOUS AND GENERAL INDUSTRIAL WASTE AT PORTS OF: RICHARDS BAY, DURBAN, EAST LONDON, NGQURA, PORT ELIZABETH, CAPETOWN & SALDANHA (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES) FOR TRANSNET SOC LTD OPERATING AS TRANSNET PORT TERMINALS (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS TPT) ON AN AS AND WHEN REQUIRED BASIS FOR A PERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS Only bidders who satisfy all the following requirements need apply: A valid and current Waste Disposal Service License issued by TNPA A valid Landfill Registration Certificate Registered with the Department of Transport as a dangerous goods operator Drivers to be in possession of a valid Professional drivers permit for dangerous goods (PDP-DG) Request for Proposal (RFP) documents may be inspected and obtained on and after Monday, 10 June 2013, during the office hours of 09h00 to 15h00 on weekdays, from: Reception, Transnet Port Terminals, Kingsmead Office Park, Stalwart Simelane (Stanger) Street, Durban, RFP documents will only be available until 15h00 on 18th June 2013 Please note: These documents will only be available upon payment of a non-refundable amount of [R1000 each] (VAT incl.) and all copies will be controlled and registered. Responses, other than those submitted against a controlled issue, will be disqualified. An official bank deposit slip or EFT must be presented when collecting the document/s. Bidders are required to quote the iCLM HQ 0008 number as a reference followed by their company name on the deposit slip for ease of reference. A Compulsory briefing session will take place on 19th June 2013 from 10h00 to 12h00 at The School of Ports, Cnr. Langeberg & Bayhead Road, Durban. ONLY bidders who have already paid for and collected bid documents will be allowed at the briefing session. No bid documents will be available at the briefing session meeting. Bidders failing to attend the compulsory briefing session will be disqualified. Bid responses are requested ONLY from bidders who have paid for and collected bid documents as well as attended the briefing session.
