Laboratory:

Laboratory: Technology of Involvement is a training course that will take place from 20th to 27th July 2013 in Nechory,Southern Moravia Region, Czech Republic. 29 youngsters, youth leaders and young active third sector representatives from 8 different countries (Czech republic, Georgia, Estonia, Poland, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Russia and Lithuania) will meet, discuss and exchange their experience and best practices in youth work during this 7-days project. The project is based on our believe, that group leaders from different NGOs, with different background are able to increase

the quality of Youth Projects through finding appropriate models of motivating youth to actively participate in a process and gain new skills and knowledge. The main objective of the project is to find these forms and methods of motivation, where the leader is not only a teacher or mentor, but he/she plays an active role of a facilitator who knows technology of involving youngsters. During the training course we want to elaborate these techniques, to develop suitable systems for youth workers that thy can use in their work within the projects of Youth in Action Program.

Objectives of the TC:


* To promote and facilitate an approach towards building appropriate models of motivation * To raise understanding of the role of youth leaders in Youth Exchanges and to promote knowledge on personal and professional level in youth work and related fields * To facilitate reflection on the personal motivation to be a leader, self-evaluation * To build up creative and communication skills, support intercultural exchange, foster mutual understanding between young people from different countries * To work on the key competencies for active participation among youngsters * Use gained experience in practice, in local organizations, in international projects

Participation
Participation in this course is free of charge. Expenses for activities,catering and accommodation, as well as 70 percent of your travel costs are covered with financial support from Youth in Action program. In order to receive travel reimbursement you must use cheapest available means of transportation (2nd class) and submit us originals of all your tickets, invoices and boarding passes. Taxi expenses cannot be covered from project budget. Travel reimbursements will be done during the training course in cash or via bank transfer after the project. Total amount of travel costs per person should not exceed: 500 EUR for Azerbaijan and Georgia 350 EUR for Russia and Ukraine 300 EUR for Estonia, Poland and Lithuania 20 EUR for the Czech republic

Application deadline for the TC is 1st of June.

Your Role There are 8 organization involved in the training course. Each organization is an NGO working with youngsters on local and international levels. This training course is aimed to the group leaders who are interested in developing scheme of motivating youngsters and improve system of working in a youth field (especially improve level of Youth Exchanges). Group leaders are ready to find appropriate models of involving youth to participate in different projects. This training course consist of three main themes: motivation (among youth), self-assessment of developed competencies and the dissemination of results. According to self-assessment and evaluation of existing competences we can develop knowledge of group leaders and thanks to that scheme they will be able to evaluate their leader skills.

Leaders who are ready to develop and find suitable models for motivating youngsters have chance to influence on them and improve level of Youth Exchanges.

Cultural evening The program of the training course will include several evenings during which you will have an opportunity to present your country to others in new creative way thus think about it as well as bring with you materials which will help you to make the presentations unique...

Presenting your organization As we want to improve the quality of youth work, we would like to ask you to introduce your organization to the others. If you have some printed materials about your work that you would like to share with other participants, please, take them with you.

Venues The project will take place in a small village Nechory, in Southern Moravia Region. This region is well know for its specific folklore and culture and mainly for the wine production. The village Nechory is in the heart of this wine producing region, with large wine cellars and small local wineries. All the participants will be accommodated in the hotel Beatrice, where we will also have our seminar room. All the participants should arrive to Brno, no later than 20th July 1 pm. From there we will go together to our destination. For the flights we recommend you to check planes going to Vienna or Prague.

Youth in Action program Laboratory: Technology of Involvement is implemented thanks to financial support from Youth in Action Program. Youth in Action is the EU Program for young people aged 15-28, in some cases 13-30. It aims to inspire a sense of active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Unions future. Youth in Action is a program for all! It promotes mobility within and beyond the EU borders, nonformal learning and intercultural dialogue, and encourages the inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background.
