ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP: Envision Engineering, PC is currently seeking an electrical engineering student for a paid Intern position.

Envision Engineering is an award-winning electrical consulting firm located in Salt Lake City, Utah specializing in the design of power, lighting, and electronic systems for commercial, institutional, and governmental buildings. INTERNSHIP TIMEFRAME: Any, preferably year round. WORK HOURS: Flexible, around school schedule 15 to 20 hours/week. EE INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: The intern will work closely with, and in support of Project Managers, Electrical Engineers, Designers, and Drafters to produce electrical construction documents and reports. Duties may include compiling and organizing information, tabulating meter data, voltage drop calculations, short circuit calculations, research, field observations, etc. Position is highly deadline driven and requires excellent organizational and collaborative skills. Other regular responsibilities may include performing calculations using industry software. Work may also involve coordination with other team members, facilities personnel, contractors, and vendors. Intern will be required to learn and implement the requirements of the National Electrical Code. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: At least 18 years of age; Currently enrolled as a EE degree-seeking student in the Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year; Currently have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or above; Knowledge of the basic principles of electrical engineering theory; Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling; Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Ability to maintain confidentiality of data; Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; and Complete an interview and a background investigation; Computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCad (preferred), Revit (preferred).
