15 Years of Excellence
2012
As we celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Manav Rachna, we reflect on the power to inspire us and ignite our spirit & our
Perhaps our greatest accomplishment has been the many important careers that have been launched by us as a result of our education. Our 15 year journey has been rewarding, exciting and difficult at the same time. The path we travel on is very challenging and there is so much more we need to do. We wish to continue to make our mission possible and to expand it even further.
Manav Rachna carries forward the mantle of excellence and professionalism with the philosophy of Manav Rachna Vidyantariksha. This is a conjugation of the words 'vidya' and 'antariksha'. 'Vidya' means knowledge, information, the basis of creativity and innovation. It is the foundation of technology and envisages the future. 'Antariksha' means 'the sky' the space which we belong to or exist. It can be broken into 'antar' and 'Ikshan' which means inner vision. Hence the combination, the core promise of Manav Rachna becomes the reality of Inner vision or root of all knowledge.

Chancellors message
It is my ardent belief that the year ahead will be full of wealth in the form of knowledge. Ever since the inception of the MREIs educational saga across 15 years, our aim has been to provide education which is marked by quality while keeping values in mind. Today because of our Academic credentials, numerous award winning projects and a vast research base, excellent industry academia partnerships, collaborations with Foreign universities and Institutions of repute and above all continued patronage of our past students, we stand a lot taller and our campuses are spread over more than a 100 acres. During the above period our horizons have expanded too. Today, MREI offers education from Pre-nursery to Doctoral level . The range of programmes offered has become vast-Engineering, Management, Dental Medicine, Media, Physioptherapy, Hotel Management etc. In fact, our vision is to offer education in every field which deserves quality and skills. Our emphasis in the coming year will be on research and development that has become the core factor for growth across the globe. We wish to nurture the talent of our students by providing them with facilities that include the best teaching staff, world class equipment and most of all a strict but friendly guiding hand for them to carve out their future. We look forward to a future where each one of our student is able to meet challenges that would never seem too big to achieve. Creating better human beings is our motto and we can do that only when we are able to mould our students to be good human beings with values which are embedded for life. We aim to provide an overall development that nurtures them towards becoming strong and focused human beings. Sports, soft skills and educational skills is what the group seeks to provide every student at the campuses, whether in the school or at the University. I am certain with our dedicated and qualified staff we will be able to achieve our goal and provide quality education, as always. Dr. O.P. Bhalla, Chancellor, MRIU

The examination system at MRIU employs credit- based format with SGPA and CGPA mode. All processes associated with the examination are computerized. M/S Tata Consultancy Services, a world class IT organization has formulated and designed the examination module for the university MRIU provides RFID based Smart Degree Certificates to its graduates which is a pioneering endeavor in the country, says Dr. V.K Mahna , ED & Dean Academics & Controller of Examinations. Thus, MRIU has adopted modern technology not only in enhancing the teaching learning experience but also providing academic credentials which are secured and authenticated which in turn assists the students for placements as their academic credentials can be easily verified by the employers. Real education is not just about textbooks. Along with good academic credentials, The students must possess the right attitudes and morals when they step into the real world. With this in view, the Management at Manav Rachna has one single ideology: creating better human beings can only happen if it begins early and at an age when the child is a toddler. Five schools under the banner of MRIS have begun to instill a value system into the young ones at a very tender age, more such schools are in the offing, in India and abroad. Whether it is the Saraswati Vandana or the Gayatri Mantra, our school children learn it young and learn it strong. A 1:20 teacher student ratio at the schools is not only comfortable but also focuses on bringing out the hidden talent in each child. Whether it is horse riding, golf, karate, dance, music or theatre -they begin young and learn to give equal importance to class room study and outdoor activities. They are aware not only of the world around them but the world which is far away and yet so near because of communications. Festivals whether it is Christmas, Diwali, Holi or Halloween - just everything is celebrated within the campus. But what really is required to reach that goal of excellence? What makes MRIU different from the rest? If we can sum up in the words of one of our senior faculty members, Col (R) V K. Gaur, Executive Director We believe in developing scientific and spiritual minds, and It is a continuous process at Manav Rachna. Ours is a timeless project which is a triangular effort which involves the institution, the parents and the student, he says with a lot of emphasis. There can be only two paths, he goes on to say, The path of values or valuables. And at MR there is no place for the path of valuables. We believe in inter-dependence and to which every member of the family holds prime importance and where every member is expected to contribute. In this process, mentoring by experienced members goes a long way in shaping the young minds.
