There are those who believe that it is the goal of the planner to simply plan, forever. In an era of dwindling resources and competing interests it is now of paramount importance to demonstrate to the naysayers that the planning process is not being done for planning sake. The economic and environmental realities dictate that the planning process work toward maximizing available resources and consensus building in an effort to create implementable plans that will begin moving us toward forever. The shores of Lake Tahoe are an ideal setting to collaborate on how to achieve Planning for Forever.

The conference will consist of four (4) primary themes: the environment, sustainability, transportation and public outreach.
