Log In
1. In the User ID field, enter the login name assigned to you. 2. Press the Tab key or click in the Password box. 3. Enter your password. 4. Press the Enter key or click the Login button.

Log Out
1. On any page in the system, click Logout. 2. Once you log out, to log in again you can log in with your existing user ID and password or log in with a different user ID and password.

To save your changes and display the previous page, click OK. To exit without saving, select another page or click Cancel.

Modify or Delete a Domain


1. On the System Resources menu page click Domains. The System Domains page displays. 2. Click Edit or any item on the corresponding row of the domain to modify. The System Domains Modify page displays (as shown above). 3. To modify the domain, click Edit or any item on the corresponding row of the organization to modify. Depending on the type of organization, either the Service Provider Profile page or the Enterprise Profile page displays. 4. To delete the domain, click Delete. The System Domains page displays. NOTE: You cannot delete the default system domain. The default system domain is the domain assigned system wide during installation. You receive an error message and the command is not performed.

Use the System Service Providers page to list the service providers on the system. On this page you can search for a particular service provider. From this page, you can add a service provider or select a service provider to be modified or deleted 1. On the System Profile menu page, click Service Providers. The System Service Providers page displays. 2. To display the previous page, click OK or Cancel.

Use the System Enterprises page to list the service providers on the system. On this page you can search for a particular enterprise. From this page, you can add an enterprise or select an enterprise to be modified or deleted. 1. On the System Profile menu page, click Enterprises. The Enterprises page displays. 2. To display the previous page, click OK or Cancel.

To create a new service provider, you use a wizard that walks you through the steps to enter the information required for a service provider to operate The steps are:

Add a Service Provider


Wizard step 1 On the System Profile menu page, click Service Providers. The Service Providers page displays. 1. On the System - Service Providers page, click Add Service Provider Wizard. The System Service Provider Setup: Step 1 of 5 Add a Service Provider page displays. This is the first page of the Add Service Provider Wizard. 2. Type information specific to the new service provider. To move between input boxes, use the TAB key on the keyboard, or click in the next input box.

Wizard step 3 1. Type the Administrator ID. This is an identification or login name for the new service provider administrator. An e-mail address is a valid user ID. 2. Click Add for each administrator you wish to add. 3. Click Next to continue.

Wizard step 4 1. Click Select All or check individual services to permit the use of services by the service provider for Groups and Users. 2. Check the Limited To box to the right of the service name, and type the service instances limit number for this service provider (for assigning to groups and users). Based on the number of licenses purchased by a service provider, this field can be used to track and limit the number of instances of a service used by a service provider. 3. Click Next to continue. NOTE: When unauthorizing services, you cannot remove those services that have already been assigned by the service provider.

Add a Service Provider


Wizard step 5 1. Type up to four single phone numbers. Type complete phone numbers (including a plus sign [+] and the country code), without spaces or dashes. These numbers are purchased by and assigned for use by this service provider. 2. Type up to four phone number ranges to be allocated by the service provider. Type ranges of complete phone numbers (including a plus sign [+] and the country code), without spaces or dashes (only the last four digits can be a range; type lowest number first). These numbers are purchased by and re-allocated for use by this service provider. 3. Click Finish to add the number(s) to the list of usable phone numbers by this service provider. The System Service Providers page displays. 4. To exit without saving, click Cancel.

1. From the Service Provider Profile menu page, click the Profile menu item. The Service Provider Profile page displays. 2. To delete a service provider, click Delete. The Service Provider Profile menu page displays. To exit without saving, select another page or click Cancel to display the previous page. NOTE: The delete function cannot be undone. Once you click Delete, your deletion is final. You can click Cancel before you click Delete to avoid a deletion.

1. On the System Profile menu page, click Administrators. The System Administrators page displays. 2. To display the previous page, click OK or Cancel.

Add an Administrator
1. From the System Administrators page, click Add. The System Administrator Add page displays. 2. Enter information specific to the new administrator. Required input boxes are indicated with an asterisk (*). 3. Click OK to add the administrator. The System Administrators page displays. To exit without saving, click Cancel or select another page. NOTE: Administrators should be reminded to change their password upon initial entry into the system.

Modify or Delete an Administrator:


1. From the System Administrators page, click Administrators. The System Administrators page displays. 2. Click Edit or any item on the row for the administrator to edit. The System Administrator Modify page displays. 3. To modify the profile, edit the profile information and click OK. 4. To delete the profile, click Delete. The System Administrators page displays.

List Carriers
1. Click Carriers on the System Resources menu page to display, add and modify carriers. Once a carrier is provisioned, it can be referenced by enterprises, groups, and users. A country can have 0, 1, or more carriers.

Add a Carrier
1. From the System - Carriers page, click Add. The Carriers Add page displays. 2. In the Carrier text box, enter a name for the new carrier. 3. In the Carrier Identification Code text box, enter the country code. The Carrier Identification Code (CIC) is a unique per-country code containing a number that can be up to 6 digits long. 4. From the Country Code drop-down list, select the country code indicating the country in which this carrier exists. 5. Specify what type of calls the carrier can be used to transport by selecting Is IntraLATA, Is Inter-LATA, and/or Is International calls. 6. To save your changes and display the previous page, click OK. To exit without saving, select another page or click Cancel.

Modify or Delete a Carrier


1. From the System - Carriers page, click Edit beside the carrier you want to modify. The Carriers Modify page displays. 2. To modify the Carrier Identification Code, edit the entry in the Carrier Identification Code text box. From the Country Code drop-down list, select a new country code. Edit what type of calls the carrier can be used to transport by selecting Is Intra-LATA, Is InterLATA, and/or Is International calls. 3. To delete the carrier, click Delete. 4. To search the groups or users for this carrier, click either Search for groups using this carrier or Search for users using this carrier. The Carriers Groups or the Carriers Users page displays. 5. To save your changes and display the previous page, click OK. To exit without saving, select another page or click Cancel.

List Numbers on System


Use the System Numbers Usage page to display how service providers use phone numbers in the system. On this page you can search for a particular number. By service provider ID, you can display the number of phone numbers assigned to the service provider, the number of those assigned to groups, and the percentage of numbers assigned to a service provider that have been assigned to a group. 1. On the System Resources menu page, click Numbers Usage. The System Numbers Usage page displays. 2. This page displays how numbers are used per Organization (service provider or enterprise). 3. To display the previous page, click OK.

Configure Conferencing Settings


1. From the Services page, click Conferencing. The System - Conferencing page displays. 2. In the Default from E-mail Address text box, enter the e-mail address from which Conferencing Report e-mail are sent. This e-mail address is always used in the From field of the e-mail sent to the user. 3. Select either Drop all participants on Leader log out by default or Allow Dial Out in invitations by default. 4. Save your changes. Click Apply or OK. Apply saves your changes. OK saves your changes and displays the previous page.

Configure Call Notify


1. Click Call Notify from the Services menu page. 2. For the Default From E-mail Address, enter the e-mail address that displays in the from section of the call notification e-mail. When the e-mail address of the caller is available, it is used; otherwise, the Default From E-mail Address entered here displays. If a dummy address is entered, the recipient cannot reply. 3. Check Display short subject line and/or Display phone number in e-mail body to refine the call notify e-mails. 4. Click OK or Apply. Configure LDAP Directory


1. On the System Services menu page, click LDAP Directory. The System LDAP Directory page displays. 2. Type the directory address of the LDAP server. It should be an IP address or a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). 3. Type the directory port of the LDAP server. It should be an integer from 0 to 65535. The default is 389. The SSL default port is 636. 4. Type the search base of the LDAP server. The search base is the search root suffix. The root suffix should reflect the domain name of the site you are searching. 5. Configure authentication. Specify if the LDAP server requires authentication by clicking on Requires Authentication check box. If authentication is required, specify the authenticated directory number (DN) and authenticated password. The authenticated DN should be the unique identifier of the user authenticated. The authenticated password is the password for the authenticated user. 6. To configure the Sort Control and Paged Results Control, click to check or uncheck the corresponding boxes. 7. In the Search Filter text box, enter the search filter attribute set. 8. An LDAP server contains objects that are categorized differently but can have the same attributes. For example, if you put (telephoneNumber=*) in this text box, it means get all of the objects that have a telephoneNumber attribute set. 9. Select the Search Attribute, and fill in the Attribute Name and Web Label text boxes. 10. Check or uncheck Always include Search Attribute in Search Filter. 11. Save your changes. Click Apply or OK. Apply saves your changes. OK saves your changes and displays the previous page. To exit without saving, select another page or click Cancel to display the previous page.

Configure Voice Messaging


1. On the System Services menu page, click Voice Messaging. The System Voice Messaging page displays. 2. Click the button to set the voice portal scope. When set to System, users can call any group voice portal (hosted on the same Application Server) rather than only the voice portal of their own group in order to initiate the login process. Users are redirected to their own voice portal, and will thus have access to their full feature set. Typically, only one of the voice portal numbers will be publicized and presented as the "system voice portal" number. When set to Configured by Service Providers or Enterprises, users of the same enterprise are redirected to the voice portal of their own group, but they do not cooperate with voice portals defined outside the scope of the enterprise. 3. Turn the Messaging Aging feature On or Off. Click On to allow for the deletion of saved messages that have been stored on the server. 4. Edit the Voice Messaging service limitations. See the BroadWorks System Provider Guide for further information. 5. In the Default From E-mail Address text box, type the e-mail address from which Voice Mail messages are sent. If the e-mail address of the caller is available, it is put in the Reply-To field. 6. In the Default From E-mail Address, type the default e-mail address from which Voice Mail Notifications messages are sent. The default is used in the From field of the Voice Mail notification e-mail. The calling party e-mail address, when available, is used in the Reply-To field. 7. Set the Voice Portal Passcode Lockout options. In the Default From E-mail Address text box, enter the e-mail address from which Voice Portal Password Lockout messages are sent. 8. Save your changes. Click Apply or OK. Apply saves your changes. OK saves your changes and displays the previous page. To exit without saving, select another page or click Cancel to display the previous page.

Hoteling Menu Check Host Status Associate With Host

Actions If selected, the system provides an indication of whether or not the host is associated with a guest, and the identity of the guest user. If you select this option and the host is not currently associated with a guest, then the user is played a message indicating the association was successful. The guest association timeout is set to the association time limit value configured on the host. When you select this option, the associated guest users service profile is disassociated from the host users device. If the guest user is not the current user associated with the host, then the request is denied and the user is informed that they are not currently associated with the host. Utilities menu page, click Password Rules. The System Password Rules page displays. Specify for whom the rules apply. Select System, Provisioning, Service Provider, and Enterprise Administrators Only if you want the rules to apply to administrative users only. Select All Administrators and Users to apply the rules to ALL users in the system. Select System and Provisioning Administrators; all other Administrators and Users use external authentication when you assume that administrators and users are maintained outside of the system. Specify the password format. Specify the password expiration. Click the button to indicate how often a user must change their password. The default is 30 days. 1. From the System, Utilities menu, select Voice Portal Passcode Rules.The Voice Portal Passcode Rules page displays. 2. For Passcode format, select the rules that apply to the format of the passcode. 3. For Passcodes expire, select Never if the password never expires. Select After to define the number of days after which the passwo rd will expire. In the After... Days text box, enter the number of days. 4. For Disable login, select Never if the login attempts do not expire. Select After to define the number of attempts a user has to login. Configure Web Portal Branding


1. On the System Utilities menu page, click Web Portal Branding. The System Web Portal Branding page displays. 2. Click the banner display On or Off. 3. The current banner or advertisement displayed is what all users see on their pages. 4. Click Browse to select a previously saved banner. The maximum width for a banner is 468 pixels; maximum height for a banner is 60 pixels. If the image you upload is too large, you are informed. 5. In the When clicked, send user to: text box, type the web address (for example, http://www.YourCompany.com) of the page that should open when the user clicks on the banner. 6. Click the User Custom Web Content On or Off. 7. If you have created a web-based custom tutorial or marketing content to be displayed upon first login for a user, enter the User Custom Web Content URL 8. Click the Group Custom Web Content On or Off. 9. Click the Logo Display On or Off. Click Browse to select a new logo. Authorized Services are indicated by a check mark. Checked services are available for authorization to a group. 4. Check the Limited To box to the right of the service name, and type a number of service instances limit for this service provider or enterprise. 5. Based on the number of licenses purchased by a service provider or enterprise, this field can be used to track and limit the number of instances of a service used by a service provider or enterprise (number of instances authorized for a group displays in the Allocated column). Configure Enhanced Call Logs


The system provider administrator is responsible for provisioning the service provider/enterprise level call log maximums (number of call logs and expiry period). This is done in the service provider (or enterprise) level, under the Services menu, with the Enhanced Call Logs page. These maximums are used by users having the Enhanced Call Logs feature assigned to them. When the Enhanced Call Logs feature is assigned, logs are not written to the TimesTen database anymore, but to an external call detail server, using the Radius protocol. They are retrieved using the SOAP over HTTP protocol. 1. From the Service Provider/Enterprise Services menu, click Enhanced Call Logs. 2. In the Maximum number of call logs per call type text box, enter the maximum number. The range is from 1 10,000. 3. In the Call logs expiry period text box, enter the number of days. The range is from 1 1000. 4. Save your changes. Click Apply or OK. Apply saves your changes. OK saves your changes and displays the previous page. 5. 1. On the User Profile menu page, on the Options List click Call Control to access the User Call Control menu page. 2. Click Malicious Call Trace. The User Malicious Call Trace page displays. 3. Click the Malicious Call Trace On to enable this service. Click the Malicious Call Trace Off to disable this service. 4. Click the Trace Type to All Incoming Calls to trace all incoming calls to the users telephone, Answered Incoming Calls to trace incoming calls that the user answers, or All Incoming and Outgoing Calls. 5. To limit the time frame of the malicious call trace, type or select data for the Trace Time Period. Required data is indicated with an asterisk (*). 6. Type the beginning date (Start Date), and its end date (End Date). 7. To select a date, click the calendar icon to the right of the text box for a date. On the calendar box, click either of the inner circles with arrowheads to change the month. Click either of the outer circles with arrowheads to change the year. Then, click the day. The selected date displays in the text box. 8. Select the Start Time and Stop Time from the drop-down lists. 9. Save your changes. Click Apply or OK. Apply saves your changes. Click the Outgoing SMDI Message Waiting Indicator On to enable outgoing MWI service. Click the Outgoing SMDI Message Waiting Indicator Off to disable the outgoing MWI service. NOTE: MWI messages cannot be sent over the SMDI interface unless this functionality is enabled for the user. At least one number must be specified for the user. 4. Save your changes.
