UNI-MIX Integral Concrete Colors

Uni-Mix Integral Concrete Colorant is packaged in dissolving bags for accurate and convenient coloring of concrete. Simply toss bag into mixer- 1 bag for each cubic yard of concrete. Uni-Mix colorants contain dispersants and wetting agents which reduce the water demand of the pigments. This increases the strength of the concrete while allowing the color to mix faster and more evenly.*

PERMA-CAST Shake-on Colors

Perma-Cast Shake-on Color Hardener is a premium, dry shake color hardener for use on interior floors and exterior hardscapes. The time-tested formulation of Perma-Cast Shake-on Color Hardener creates an extremely dense surface that is resistant to abrasion and the effects of freeze/thaw. It is available in wide range of streak free, uniform colors ranging from subtle pastels to deep, rich hues. Perma-Cast Shake-on Color Hardener conforms to ASTM Standard C979 for color stability.*

Butterfield Color Perma-Cast Sierra Stains offer beauty and elegance to any concrete project. With 10 transparent stain colors to choose from you can achieve unlimited effects in detail, variegation and color depth resulting in visually stunning and durable concrete projects. Wide color variations, mottling, and unevenness of the color is normal and usually desired. If these coloring effects are not desired, Perma-Cast Sierra Stain should not be used. When a more uniformly colored concrete is desired for new concrete installations, Uni-Mix Integral Colorants or Perma-Cast Shake-on Color Hardeners should be specified.*

PERMA-CAST Antiquing Release Colors

Perma-Cast Antiquing Release Colors are dusted over the surface of freshly colored concrete flatwork before using a pattern-stamping tool. The release agent prevents the tool from sticking to newly colored, freshly stamped concrete. As the tool is pulled from the concrete, the colored release powder is layered into the textured surfaces of the concrete. Upon washing and sealing, the difference in color between the underlying concrete and the release creates a visually attractive, antiqued look to the concrete. The added color gives the appearance of depth. The amount of release agent imparted will vary with job site conditions. The results will range between the color of the base concrete and that of the antiquing release. The surface must be sealed and maintained to preserve its antiqued appearance over time.*

BUTTERFIELD COLOR Clear Liquid Release

Butterfield Color Clear Liquid Release is a bond breaker used with stamping mats, texturing skins or texture rollers prior to imprinting concrete or cementitious overlays. It prevents the stamping or texturing tool from sticking to the surface, enhances the transfer of the detailed pattern and texture, and prolongs the surface life of the stamping mat or texturing tool. Use on integrally colored or uncolored concrete, shakeon color hardeners, and stampable cementitious overlays. It is suitable for outdoor and indoor use. It is particularly useful with overlays, since it will not contaminate the existing concrete substrate as readily as powdered releases. It evaporates quickly and requires little to no clean up prior to applying solvent based curing and sealing compounds such as Clear Guard Cure and Seal, or prior to chemical staining with Perma-Cast Sierra Stain Perma-Cast Liquid Release may be tinted with Perma-Cast Antiquing Release to create mottled color variations on a textured surface. VOC content is less than 450 g/L (3.75 lb/gallon).

Water Based Concrete Stain Butterfield Color Elements

Butterfield Color Elements Transparent Concrete Stain represents the latest in nanopigment technology. It is formulated to readily permeate the concrete surface and create translucent color variations similar to reactive acid stain. It is a penetrating, non-film forming stain for existing concrete surfaces. It is resistant to fading from sunlight. It can be used on interior concrete floors and exterior concrete hardscapes. It may also be applied to concrete blocks, pavers, and cementitious overlays. Butterfield Color Elements Transparent Concrete Stain is breathable, UV stable and freeze/thaw resistant. It is a low odor, water-based, environmentally and user-friendly concrete staining system. It does not contain acid. Butterfield Color Elements Transparent Concrete Stain can be applied as the primary coloring material over uncolored concrete and other compatible substrates. It may also be applied over polished concrete, Uni-Mix Integrally colored concrete, Perma-Cast Shake-on Color hardened concrete, stamped, or stenciled concrete, T1000 cementitious overlays, and reactive chemical stains. It is an excellent substitute for reactive chemical stains on substrates that are minimally reactive with acid stains, when a color is desired that cannot be produced by an acid stain, or the extensive clean up after an acid stain application is prohibitive. Butterfield Color Elements Transparent Concrete Stain is compatible with Uni-Mix Integral Coloring Systems, Perma-Cast Shake-on Color Hardener, Perma-Cast Sierra Stain, T1000 Fine Overlay, and T1000 Stampable Overlay. Butterfield Color Elements Transparent Concrete Stain is available in 16 standard colors. Multiple colors may be used for a more creative effect. Custom colors are available. CONCRETE CURING, SEALING & FINISHING PRODUCTS

The curing and sealing of decorative concrete enhances the strength and durability of a concrete surface, as well as, minimizing discoloration from dirt and spills. New colored concrete should be cured with a liquid applied, film-forming curing compound. Curing with plastic sheeting or water spray should never be utilized. Clear Guard Cure and Seal is the ideal product. Clear Guard Cure and Seal is a solvent-based, VOC compliant, non-yellowing, curing, and sealing compound. The product is formulated for curing and sealing uncolored concrete, integrally colored concrete, and color hardened (shake-on) concrete, stamped or stenciled concrete, and cementitious overlays. It is recommended for use with Uni-Mix Colorant and Uni-Mix Liquid integral coloring systems, Perma-Cast Color Hardener, Perma-Cast Sierra Stain, T1000 Fine Overlay, and T1000 Stampable Overlay. It is suitable for residential or commercial projects, interior floors, exterior hardscapes, and vertical surfaces. As a curing compound, it improves the surface strength, abrasion resistance, and durability of the concrete, and reduces the potential for plastic cracking. Curing with Clear Guard Cure and Seal also provides interim construction protection from most oils, greases, chemical spills, and from the adhesion of mortar splashes. Final cleanup costs are reduced and the resulting concrete surface appearance is greatly enhanced. Clear Guard Cure and Seal visually enhances the concrete color, protects the surface from dirt and staining, and minimizes the affects of de-icing salts and exposure to gas or oil.

Butterfield Color Stamping Tools Brick Patterns

Butterfield Color constructed brick patterns with two kinds of brick. The standard brick tools are cast from wire cut clay-paving bricks. All the grout lines are made with a draft to prevent the edges of concrete from picking up when the tools is removed. The Old Chicago Brick tools are cast from bricks that were used to pave the original streets of Chicago, hence the name. These bricks create a warm nostalgic look.

Butterfield Color has responded by developing Cut Stone Step & Form Liners. The polyurethane form liners can be easily attached and are compatible with standard 1 1/2 dimensional foam or form lumber. The Cut Stone Form Liner series of tools allow for the effortless transfer of a rough-cut stone texture to tread edges, corners, and risers of cast in place steps.
