Act4 THE NATIONS

A huge shift has occurred in Sharon's and my life. We have known for years this time would come and the time is now. This year is our 40th year of marriage and 40th anniversary of global ministry. We have experienced three major stages of life and ministry together and are now entering our fourth stage. We call this new phase for us "Act 4". Like a play unfolding, God closes the curtain, only to pull it open again to reveal the previously unseen. The years we have worked to help birth new ministries such as GO TO NATIONS (formerly Calvary International), Christ the Redeemer Church and the family of churches Redeemer planted, The Christian Communion International and Teen Mania Ministries have been amazing! We have personally grown and are privileged to have played a leadership role in helping great ministries develop and succeed around the world. We may now be postured for the most effective ministry we have ever personally done. Sharon and I have always done most of our international work together, however, on her own initiative in 2001 she began doing specific ministry to missionaries and the people they work with in the fields of the world. For 13 years her primary overseas work has been providing spiritual and material support where it is most needed by partnering with veteran frontline servants. She is doing womens conferences and mercy ministry work in China, South Africa, Kenya, Latin America, and beyond. Sharon and her ministry team recently returned from Thailand where she conducted two womens conferences and from Israel for ministry among Palestinian Christians in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Sharon continues to minister to women here in the U.S. and especially through Women Alive, an interchurch, citywide womens ministry she founded in 2000. I too, am continuing my lifelong passion of Great Commission work around the world. I am now back on the road, preaching, teaching and ministering in the U.S. and abroad. However, my primary focus will be continuing work I have been doing the past 6 years with representatives of the State of Israel to mobilize support for Israels right to exist within secure borders with Jerusalem as its undivided capital. We are also working to assure that Judea and Samaria are kept under Israeli control.

The majority of my work in Israel for the first few years was focused upon building relationships and cooperation between Jews and Christians in support of Israel. The last 2 years has had a more narrow focus, giving counsel and support to the Israel Allies Foundation (IAF) as their pro-bono Executive Organizational Coach. I plan to primarily focus on this work over the next few years. The IAF is based in Jerusalem, Israel with the primary administrative office in Washington D.C. and with offices in Brussels, Belgium and Brasilia, Brazil. The IAF works with parliaments around the world to mobilize political support for the State of Israel based on Judeo-Christian values. We now have active parliamentary caucuses in 20 nations. We facilitate interparliamentary dialogue and cooperation between these caucuses. We build an active global network of faith-based, pro-Israel legislators and build formal and direct lines of communication between the government of Israel and Christian leaders worldwide.

Bottom line, we work to secure a free and safe Israel through faith-based diplomacy. In preparation for this new stage of ministry for this latest Act in our lives Sharon and I established a new organization: "Act 4 The Nations". Interestingly, chapter four of the Book of Acts begins with two apostles standing before political and religious leaders in Jerusalem. After being discharged they gathered with other believers and prayed for miracles to be released in the nations. At the end of the chapter incredible resources are delivered to the needs of the believers in the Jerusalem church and to their global mission. These are the very things Sharon and I are now doing. We are again living as faith-based missionaries with no support but the generosity of friends and partners of these new endeavors. We have downsized our home and streamlined our lives to give ourselves wholly to our international work. We are excited, envisioned and ready. Please pray for us as we seek to obey our call.
