FACEFIRST SUMMARY DATA SHEET

1. REQUIREMENTS AND SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS

1.1 Images Enrollment supports color and grayscale images in the following formats: BMP, ISO 19794-5, JPEG, JPEG2000, PGM, PNG, and TIFF. Face recognition supports images with the following characteristics: +/- 15 yaw or pitch; +/- 20 roll deviation from frontal image Inter-pupil spacing larger than 32 pixels (at least 60 pixels recommended) At least 64 grayscales within the face region

1.2 Cameras General guidelines for network cameras are: At least 1 megapixel resolution At least 10 images per second MJPEG, MPEG-4, or H.264 stream with HTTP or DirectShow interface Lens with minimum focal length of at least 10 mm and no spherical distortion Installation close to average face height

As a practical matter, Airborne Biometrics Group recommends ABGspecification or joint approval of cameras and lenses for customer installations. The FaceFirst high-resolution biometric camera is designed for indoor surveillance in areas where people are moving without stopping to be identified. All faces in the video scene are captured simultaneously without cooperation by the subjects passing by. This optimized camera is suitable for commercial surveillance, retail environments, sports event entrances, schools, and government applications. The camera operates over standard IP networks and is powered over Ethernet (POE). The specifications for the typical FaceFirst Biometric Camera are:

1280x1024 (1.3 Mpix) or 1600x1200 (2 Mpix ) CMOS-based image sensor 100Mbps RJ-45 Ethernet Connector ( IEEE 802.af POE compliant ) Alternate power 12-24VDC or 23VAC BNC video out for easy focusing using popular hand-held CCTV monitors. Captures clear 1.3 megapixel or 2 megapixel facial images at 15 images per second.

Captures multiple faces in video scene simultaneously. Selectable exposure window Less than 2.5 watts of power Digital PTZ with no moving parts. Gamma correction Integrated support for IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, ARP, FTP, SMTP, DHCP, HTTP, RARP, BOOTP, SNMP, Telnet, and TFTP protocols.

The benefits of the FaceFirst cameras include:

Easy integration into existing CCTV environments Simultaneous transmission of images to facial recognition and CCTV system supported High Resolution facial images for accurate biometric performance and identification Conforms to industry standards, can be installed by any qualified CCTV installer Digital PTZ ensures easy installation and remote adjustment Inconspicuous biometric face recognition of moving crowds

1.3 Platforms The primary system platform for FaceFirst software is Microsoft Windows Server. Several services can alternatively run on Linux, with further compatibility for that platform emerging over time.

A typical FaceFirst installation includes:

one Web/API Server one Database Server one Watchlist Server optional Processing Servers one Operator Station multiple Tracking Stations, each of which processes video from one or more cameras

For centralized services, ABG recommends: Server-class computers Four 64-bit CPU cores At least 4-8 GB DDR2 memory For camera tracking stations and operator stations, ABG recommends: Desktop-class computers Four 64-bit CPU cores At least 2-4 GB DDR2 memory

2. STANDARDS/SAFETY CONFORMANCE AND CERTIFICATIONS

2.1 Images Normalized images used for recognition and alerts adhere to standard formats, with color JPEG as the norm. 2.2 Alerts Alert Server notification employs the following standards: MMS, SMS, SMTP, and XMLRPC. 2.3 Application Programming Interface FaceFirst exposes an Application Programming Interface (API) via HTTP. This API supports all major system features for Sessions, Accounts, Cases, Case Groups, Users, Alert Groups, Subscriptions, Tracking Stations, and Logging.

3. PRICING
FaceFirst provides clients with a complete facial recognition system so our pricing model depends upon the kind of capabilities that our clients require and the scope and scale of the application. Our pricing model includes several parameters: What are the data storage requirements? Does ABG or the client provide the data hosting? How many stationary cameras and how many mobile phones are to be used? What kind of alerting is required? Cell phones PDAs Computers What kind of alerts are required: sms, mms, email, xml, etc.? Will ABG be required to provide back-office and management functions?

Using those parameters, our pricing model has a fixed price component for hardware, software, systems engineering and integration, and training. The model also includes a monthly user fee that depends on the number of transactions but also provides for 24/7 customer support, system updates and software enhancements.

4. TESTS
4.1 Biometric Algorithms

The FaceFirst security platform leverages face detection and recognition algorithms licensed from Cognitec Systems GmbH (Cognitec). Cognitecs algorithms show excellent test results in National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) evaluations, including the 2006 Face Recognition Vendor Tests (FRVT). 4.2 FaceFirst Software

FaceFirsts proprietary software includes a number of components, each of which undergoes unit-tests with every release. System-wide tests for specific customer configurations can be defined for performance evaluation within the target environment. 4.2 System Testing

FaceFirst is currently being tested by the United States Biometrics Task Force (BTF). The Biometrics Task Force leads US Department of Defense (DoD) activities to program, integrate, and synchronize biometric technologies and capabilities and to operate and maintain DoD's authoritative biometric database to support the National Security Strategy. The FaceFirst test will be completed in October 2009 when FaceFirst will become the only complete, turnkey facial recognition system approved for deployment by the US Department of Defense.
