Production and Technical Aspects

Technical Description

The project plans on producing services that focuses on giving consultation to our clients regarding their program codes. These consultations will give a detailed discussion on the problem of the client. The discussion includes the interpretation of the companys personnel regarding the clients program. Also included is the

recommendation of the attendant to the client on what the client can do in his program. This recommendation will include a diagram in the form of a Unified Modeling Language (UML), which is a diagram used by programmers when they plan their programs. As the report is finished, the document will be sent to the client via e-mail. Any additional consultation can be made through e-mail or the forum, which is where members of the company and possible clients can discuss freely any possible concerns.

Tools for Production

The service will need multiple computer units. These computer units will be the primary tool of the company as the service that the company offers needs it in order to communicate with the clients and in order to create the discussion document that will be sent to the client. Each division of the company will be given the computer units. The computer unit will be composed of the basic computer components such as the monitor, the keyboard, and the CPU. Other components such as the printer, modems, and

routers will be a part of the unit as well. Internet connection will also be needed since the company is internet based. Software will be bought such as the operating system for the computer and the computer applications needed by the employees. The consultations, which are the main service the company will be rendering to its clients, will be given to them in a form of a document called the discussion. It will be sent through the e-mail of the client. The discussion will be sent once the attendant of the problem finishes analyzing and makes the documentation with the interpretation and recommendation. The discussion will only guide the client, because our aim is to let the client figure out the problem as a whole, while the discussion provides a guide in which the client can follow.

Plant Location

The company will be situated along Katipunan Ave. in Quezon City. It will occupy a 100 square meter commercial lot that the company will rent for a monthly rate of Php 60,000. The location is very accessible because it is along the avenue road, which jeepneys pass by. It can be also accessed by riding the LRT-2 since it is very near the Katipunan Station. The location has no parking space, since it isnt part of the lease conditions with the owners of the space. The location is surrounded by other commercial establishments in the food industry. With that, it can be said that there are no competitors nearby the location. Though the only disadvantage the location has is the traffic nearby the avenue road, especially during rush hour. Traffic can be described as heavy during these hours, which might cause inconvenience through clients who want to visit the company during those said hours.

Plant Layout

Floor Plan The companys headquarters occupies a 100 square meter, single -floor commercial lot. This commercial lot is divided into 5 parts, which will be occupied by the different divisions of the company. Inside the lot, there are hallways surrounding the left and right side, with corridors that lead to the different offices and rooms. Along the edge of the hallways are restrooms, four in total, for the employees and staff to access. The first part of the lot in the right side serves as the entrance and lobby. A wide door is built in front, and the lobby is the first thing seen as one enters the door. The lobby is where clients are to make inquiries about the companys service. The lobbyist job is to give the visiting client instructions on how they can avail of the companys service. Right beside the lobbyist table are seats, in which the visitors can use for their

comfort. There are 2 restrooms that are included in the first part of the lot. There are windows situated in the left and right side as well. The second part is divided into two. The offices of the marketing and financial department occupy the divided parts. The financial department is in the left side, while the marketing department is in the right side. It can be accessed by walking through the hallways. The offices are similar in design. In the floor plan, the rectangular boxes signify the desk spaces, in which the employees occupy, while the end of the room is where the division heads reside. Meanwhile, the third part is where the web development department is situated. Unlike the second part, it isnt divided since the web development department has a lot of members. Just like the other offices, it can be accessed through the hallways. It has a lot of desk spaces, since it isnt divided. And just like the other offices, the division head is seated at the end of the room. The fourth part is where the office of the chief manager is located. It is located at the right side and can be accessed by walking through the right hallway. There are seats situated near the office of the chief manager, for those who are waiting. On the left is the supplies room, where employees can get the materials they need. The other 2 restrooms are included in this part, which are located in the edge of both hallways. This part is also where the entrance to the offices of the chairmen is positioned. The fifth and last part is where the chairmen reside. They have the largest room in the whole lot. Inside the offices are wide desk spaces in the center, the left and right sides of the room. There are wide sofas here as well. And at the edge of the room are wide windows. Only those with permission from the chairmen can enter the room.

Structure The building of the company will need the renovation of the lot it is occupying to suit the floor plan given above. An estimated amount of Php 300,000 will be allotted for the renovation. It will include the renovation of the rooms, hallways and the dividers that will separate the lot into four. The construction of entrance doors will be needed as well. Meanwhile, the toilets will undergo renovation to accommodate the large number of employees. The electric lines inside the building will also be repaired to accommodate the great number of electronics that will be present in the building. The drainage system and water lines will need some repairs for the restrooms. Phone and internet lines have to be installed in the building, since the company is internet based and for the clients to contact the company.
