Although the audience viewership for the last episode of They Kiss Again wasnt very good, Leading

lady Ariel Lin is extremely reluctant to part with it. She admitted that her character is similar to that of Xiang Qin, and felt that Xiang Qins character has been integrated into her real life. Xiang Qin is very stubborn, so am I. When it comes to work and love, I will disregard everything and what people might say, and just go for what I want bravely. However, when asked about the rumour that she has rejected joining the production of ISWAK 3 and the cold relationship between joe and her, she coldly r eplied, The future is still unknown. Tired of Pranks/ ISWAK? Before the filming of they Kiss Again, Ariel was filming The Legend Of Condor Heroes. Unexpectedly, the male lead Hu Ge met with a car accident which had him hospitalized for 3 months, which meant that Ariel could only rest and wait around. However, while in the midst of intense filming for They Kiss Again, filming for The Legend Of Condor Heroes resumed, putting Ariel in a diffiult spot. Acting as Xiang Qin needed me to maintain a round face, to show her cute personality; whereas as Huang Rong is someone dainty and elegant, and it was impossible for me to be fat one moment and become thin the next moment! In the end, both films had me filming continuously for half a year, adding on the burden and strain of filming two films at the same time. Everyday was a really arduous and difficult challenge. Its inevitable that I entertained thoughts of giving up at times, but the crew members and the cast encouraged and spurred me on, which eventually helped me to get through it. In the midst of filming the romantic Idol Drama They Kiss Again, many interesting incidents occurred. Ariel revealed , laughing that the incident which left the deepest impression was the one where Xiang Qin braved the storm and set sail to Matsu in the middle of the Night to find her husband, Zhi Shu. The incident which left the deepest impression was the one where I went to Matsu to film. The scene can be considered as the most emotionally challenging scene. The show shows me braving the storm to find Zhi Shu, and having to take a ferry ride in the midst of heavy rain and powerful winds, to the extent that I was so afraid of myself not being able to reach Matsu safely and even wrote a will to Zhi Shu. The great feeling of loss and despair I felt was overwhelming. They Kiss Agains high viewer ratings meant Ariel, whove been crowned as Idol Drama queen, has reached another stage and achieved a breakthrough, yet shes not satisfied. She says, That is merely an affirmation of my performance by the audience over the past years. Even as I go higher up the ladder of success and become more popular, what I worry most is the moment where I begin to fall from my glory. Making use of the free time she has, Ariel went to New Yor k along to enroll in an acting course. Recently, Ariel has shown her fantastic acting and all that she has learnt on variety shows, and even published a book which anecdotes her experiences in NY. Honeymoon Bed Scene too extreme? They Kiss again focuses on the sweet married life of Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin, and of course, their married life wouldnt be complete without a passionate honeymoon scene. This scene is considered as the most daring scene Ariel has filmed as she has always had a pure and innocent image. After the filming of the bed scene, Joe shyly walked out of the room , whereas Ariel calmly sat on the bed, commenting When it comes to filming, I dont have any restrictions. Even if its as extreme as Lust. Caution, I would be willing to do it. Actually, as long as I like the scene and drama, why not? As opposed to someone whos constantly in love on screen, Ariel is currently unattached ever since her break up from A University Senior in reality. When asked about her relationship ideals, Ariel became slightly shy, My plan is that by the time Im 30, I would want to go to France with my husband to further our studies, have children and stay in the countryside. Ariel Lin feels that in reality, the most compatible male actor for her is of course Joe, whos been acting opposite her for 3 years to film ISWAK & ISWAK2. However, regarding if she would continue their partnership in ISWAK3, Ariel expressed apprehension and uncertainty. Working together from ISWAK to ISWAK 2, the tacit understand ing we share is so good that its beyond words. This time round, we have grown to trust each other more and

have an even greater tacit understanding, which enabled us to finish filming a lot of the scenes in one take and there are even a few scenes where we were left to develop on our own. Furthermore, Joe and I are so familiar with each other that once we meet, we wouldnt stop chatting. Hes more hyper , boisterous and outgoing, whereas Im rather quiet; but Ive become more daring under his influence. If we were to film ISWAK 3, Im afraid that there wont be new sparks flying between the both of us cause were too familiar with one another. Yet, when the rumours regarding Mike He who collaborated with Ariel in Love Contract was mentioned, Ariel exasperatedly expressed, I always have slow responses to rumours, and feel that it isnt an area which I should be bothered with. As long as you are sincere when working with me, whatever happens after that is beyond anyones control. In Low spirits due to the great debt to be repayed? While in high school, Ariel joined a beauty pageant in order to buy a new computer for her younger brother and became popular through the drama True Love 18. Ever since then, any male actors whove acted opposite her including Mike He, Wu Zun and Joe Cheng have since become popular too, which made the media dub her the Idol drama Queen who brings luck to her husbands. I unwittingly bumped into and entered the entertainment industry, but have become more and more interested in acting as I film more dramas. Furthermore, everyone would have a chance to develop themselves in any job , so I feel that as an actress, I have to really achieve for the best possible and to constantly challenge myself. Having been in the entertainment industry for 7 years, Ariels wonderful acting skills is something that everyone can see and because of her natural acting abilities, she has been nominated as the Best Actress in the Golden Horse Awards, a worthy accomplishment. Ariel films mostly Idol Dramas, and has maintained a perfect record, with They Kiss Again topping the Viewer ratings for 10 weeks consecutively, and her worth is continuously increasing with her increasing popularity. Sadly, the increase in income doesnt make Ariel any happier, as being the eldest daughter, she has had to scrimp and save these past years to provide for her family. Due to pressure and stress from her work and home, Ariel may sometimes be emotionally unstable In this entertainment industry, theres a lot of things that you dont wish to do but are left without choice so there are times when I push myself to my limits. When it becomes unbearable, I really want to give my mom a call and complain tearfully. Ariel is very close to her family and not only does she provide for them, she even thinks and plans about her brothers future, Initially, I wanted to persuade him to go abroad to study, but am feeling very contradicting as Im unsure if he would appreciate what I have done. Im still considering, and maybe, I can help him in the form of an interest-free loan. Actually, Im someone whos very strict to both people around and myself, and this gives a lot of pressure to both parties. There are even times when even my relatives would say that Im very cold, cold-blooded. But honestly, I hate people who dont work for their future, including my brother and my expectations to those close to me are actually even higher, giving them tremendous stress. But I do know that there are things when not done with all your heart and soul thus becomes meaningless. After Xu Wei Luns death, I realized how fragile life was and therefore I wouldnt do things on impulse or casually.

Theme The plot has been called the body of a play and the theme has been called its soul. Most plays have a conflict of some kind between individuals, between man and society, man and some superior force or man and h imself. The events that this conflict provokes make up the plot. One of the first items of interest is the playwright\rquote s treatment of the plot and what them he would draw from it. The same plots have been and will be used many times; it is the treatment that supplies each effort with originality or artistic worth. Shakespeare is said to have borrowed all but one of his stories, but he presented them so much better than any of the previous authors that he is not seriously criticized for the borrowing. Th e treatment of theme is equally varied. Convention The means the playwright employs are determined at least in part by dramatic convention. Greek: Playwrights of this era often worked with familiar story material, legend about gods and famous families that the audience was familiar with. Since the audience was familiar with certain aspects of these, the playwrights used allusion rather than explicit exposition. In representing action, they often relied on messengers to report off-stage action. For interpretation the Greeks relied on the CHORUS, a body of onlookers, usually citizens or elders, whose comments on the play reflected reactions common to the community. These plays were written in metered verse arranged in elaborate stanzas. This required intense attention from the audience. English Drama: Minor chara cters play an important role in providing information and guiding interpretation. The confidant, a friend or servant, listens to the complaints, plans and reminiscences of a major character. Minor characters casually comment among themselves on major characters and plot development. Extended SOLILOQUY enables a major character to reveal his thoughts in much greater detail than in natural dialogue. ASIDES, remarks made to the audience but not heard by

those on the stage, are common. Realism: Toward the end of the nineteenth century, realistic depiction of everyday life entered the genre of drama, whereas the characters may be unconventional and their thoughts turbulent and fantasy-ridden. Contemporary: Experimentation seems to be the key word here. A NARRATOR replaces the messenger, the chorus and the confidant. FLASHBACKS often substitute for narration. Many contemporary playwrights have abandoned recognizable setting, chronological sequence and characterization through dialogue. Genre Genre is a term that describes works of literature according to their shared thematic or structural characteristics. The attempt to classify literature in this way was initiated by Aristotle in the Poetics, where he distinguishes tragedy, epic, and comedy and recognizes even more fundamental distinctions between drama, epic, and lyric poetry. Classical genre theory, established by Aristotle and reinforced by Horace, is regulative and prescriptive, attempting to maintain rigid boundaries that correspond to social differences. Thus, tragedy and epic are concerned exclusively with the affairs of the nobility, comedy with the middle or lower classes. Modern literary criticism, on the other hand, does not regard genres as dogmatic categories, but rather as aesthetic conventions that guide, but are also led by, writers. The unstable nature of genres does not reduce their effectiveness as tools of critical inquiry, which attempts to discover universal attributes among individual works, and has, since classical times, evolved theories of the novel, ode, elegy, pastoral, satire, and many other kinds of writing. Conversions Conversions, closely examined, will be found to fall into two classes: changes of volition, and changes of sentiment. It was the former class that Dryden had in mind; and, with reference to this class, the principle he indicates remains a sound one. A change of resolve should never be due to mere lapse of time---to the necessity for bringing the curtain down and letting the audience go home. It must always be rendered plausible by some new fact or new motive; some hitherto untried appeal to reason or emotion. This rule, however, is too obvious to require enforcement. It was not quite superfluous so long as the old convention of comedy endured. For a century and a half after Dryden's time, hard-hearted parents were apt to withdraw their opposition to their children's "felicity" for no better reason than that the fifth act was drawing to a close. But this formula is practically obsolete. Changes of will, on the modern stage, are not always adequately motived; but that is because of individual inexpertness, not because of any failure to recognize theoretically the necessity for adequate motivation.

Natural na seleksiyon Ang natural na seleksyon(natural selection) ang proseso kung saan ang organismong may kanais nais na katangian ay mas malamang na dumami. Sa paggawa nito, ipinapasa ng mga ito ang mga katangiang ito sa susunod na henerasyon. Sa paglipas ng panahon, ito ay gumagawa sa mga organismo na umangkop sa kapaligiran nito.
